Well I clearly need to make my way to one of these
How are Willie's shows? I probably only know a couple of his songs and honestly I'm not even a huge fan of his supporting acts near me, but he's old and a known legend so I kinda wanna see him before he croaks.

Zzzz but we're going to the Charlotte show. Great lineup.

I saw him two years ago with Krauss and he was fantastic. I would recommend seeing him.

I agree. I caught him last year and left halfway through Willie's set because it really just wasn't very good. The rest of the acts were great though and this leg is looking fantastic.
Anyone know how Van Morrison sounds live these days?

Honestly these lineups are so deep I'd prob leave 15-30 into Willie and still get way more than my money's worth

I’ve pretty consistently heard bad things about Van Morrison in recent years. Maybe a short set at something like this would work to his advantage tho
Has anyone seen O.M.D. on this tour yet? They are playing here on Monday, and I've been kicking the idea of going (I don't usually like going out on Mondays but...). They are now sort of in the "legacy act" bin and though not a band I was much of a fan of at the time since I wasn't a giant synth-band/second invasion fan, I've grown to like Depeche Mode, The Passage and some of the other contemporary bands.

Got an email about a special offer for the TDE Tour with Kendrick, SZA, etc. in Tampa. I stupidly opened the email expecting something like Live Nation waiving the damn fee. Nope, same $25 ticket that comes out to $50+ after fees. Fuck me.
05/24 - Axton, VA - Rooster Walk 10 (exact date not published - but obviously) 05/25 - Chillicothe, IL - Summer Camp (exact date...) 05/26 - Pelham, TN 05/30 - Rochester, NY 05/31 - Kent, OH 06/01 - Jackson, MS @ Cathead Jam (it's actually 6/2 because Michigan 6/1) 06/01 - Kalamazoo, MI 06/17 - Wilmington, DE 06/20 - Dewey Beach, DE 06/24 - Charlotte, NC 06/27 - Savannah, GA 06/28 - Isle of Palms, FL 06/29 - Atlanta, GA 06/30 - Birmingham, AL 07/14 - Alta, WY 06/17 - Sandpoint, ID 06/18 - Boise, ID 06/19 - Salt Lake City, UT 06/20 - Morrison (supporting SCI) 09/06 - Las Vegas @ Big Blues Bender (exact date not yet confirmed) 09/14 - Telluride, CO @ Blues & Brews (exact date...)
Brain Damaged Eggmen, which is a super group of Brendan Baylis, Jake Cinniger and Kris Myers from Umphrey's along with Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner of Disco Biscuits, will be playing at Resonance '18 in September in Thornville, OH. The quintet honors The Beatles and Pink Floyd. They first played at Jam Cruise 2006 and haven't played a set since 2012 Summer Camp.
Perpetual Groove has added a 3 southern shows and a stop in Cincinnati:
05/07 - Cincinnati @ Mad Frog
06/07 - Savannah 06/08 - St. Petersburg 06/09 - Ft. Lauderdale
And the biggest festival in the world (I think), Milwaukee's Summer Fest announced more big names. There is some shit on it, but there is also some fun stuff too as there always seems to be.

just wait for the 20 dollar kick off to summer deal. I was running through all of the Live Nation shows and pretty much none of the tours outside of Dave Matthews Band, Buffett, or Imagine Dragons is selling well. The Deals are gonna come

Hopefully those $20 tickets will also include sections other than lawn. I remember seeing Hall & Oates for that price two years ago in MA, where two of the uncovered seating sections (the ones all the way on the left and right) were a free for all. Got there early enough for Row A, and it made for a fun experience.

Usually I just sit in sections 10 or 14 and blend in with the crowd. 9 and 15 do make for some great people watching though - so many drunken singalongs during that Hall and Oates show.

Yeah, sneaking over to section 10 or 14 (with a GA ticket for sections 9 or 15) sounds like a good idea. I've changed seats before in that manner at Xfinity Center (managed to get a prime spot at NIN/Soundgarden in section 6 at the soundboard while having a section 4 ticket). That's one good thing about the staff there not giving a fuck about anything.

it wont, it will just be lawn. But im not sure if you guys have used the upgrade system that live nation has: livenation.expapp.com but they often allow you to upgrade your seat once you are already inside for pretty cheap. I upgraded from Lawn to Pit for a couple shows for 10 bucks. Depends on the demand for the show however, so the bigger shows it may have nothing available
