Neil has had such a long and varied career, and has released many excellent albums. While there are many hardcore fans on this board, there are probably at least as many who are unfamilar with his vast discography, and could stand to be pointed in the right direction. So what's his best?
I decided not to include CSNY or Buffalo Springfield albums, or Long May You Run. I also had to cut off live albums toward the end so I could pare it down to the 35 choices proboards allows.
As always, I didn't include live albums which weren't released soon after they were recorded. In this case, I couldn't even fit all the concurrent live releases in.
I voted for Harvest, but I just retracted my vote to put in another for Live Rust. I just heard it for the first time after finding it in a box of my girlfriend's dad's records, and it is phenomenal.
On The Beach (This is one of my favorite albums by any artist) Everybody Knows This is Nowhere Zuma (It was a toss up between this and Rust Never Sleeps)
