Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Love the additions. Now all they need is one more solid headliner (Jay-Z is the only one they have right now) and a single tier-1 jamband (NO! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DMB IS NOT A JAMBAND NOR ARE THEY TIER-1) like Furthur or The Allmans. It's disappointing because I really feel that the undercard of this festival is one of the best its ever had but I'm only mildly interested in the top 6-7 artists on the lineup whereas other years have completely blown me away. Don't let me down Bonnaroo, I still want to go but you haven't reeled me in yet.
You can't get any better than Umprey's in the jam genre, imo.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Umphrey's is definitely an awesome band, but there's something to be said about having some version of The Good Ol' Grateful Dead at Bonnaroo. That band started the scene we all love and almost everyone is moved by their live shows. You certainly can't please all the people all the time, but this is Bonnaroo we're talking about. Look at every year before this one. Every single previous year has a top 6-7 artists that blows away almost every festival ever. They've given us quality every year so I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect quality every year, and the top acts this year just don't cut it.
I have friends who swear by them, read countless posts/threads singing their praises, yet i can not get into Umphrey's Mcgee.
I consider myself musically aware, musically diverse, but i just don't understand the Mcgee love affair. Of the 5 'adds' bonnaroo announced i am most excited for 'The Gossip' - yet inforoo is all about Trio/Mcgee/Ween. I understand Trio and Mcgee are amazing musicians...I guess i never got the while 'Jam band' thing.

I wasn't into Umphrey's until a couple years ago when I tagged along with some friends to one of their shows. Needless to say, I was blown away and have been a fan ever since. I can't tell you too much about their studio albums, but as a live band they will not let you down.

Agreed. I didn't get into them until I saw them at bonnaroo back in '08. Their albums don't really do justice if you've never seen them before. Definitely check them out at bonnaroo if you don't have any conflicts with their set.

anyone who plays music will love umphrey's and anyone who has seen them live too. bonnaroo 2008 was awesome and i've heard better shows from them. i'm looking forward to an even better show this year.

^^this. All of it, including the being-dragged-along-by-a-friend part. They did a two-night run in Burlington, VT about a year and a half ago. A few friends of mine convinced me to drive (since I have a car and they didn't). Such a wise decision!

You can add The Devil Makes Three. From a Press release:
After a string of successful solo dates, Pete Bernhard joins up with the rest of The Devil Makes Three to announce a new run of never ending tour dates that will take them from the West Coast to the Midwest to Canada, playing with Merle Haggard and at Bonnaroo! . . . I think "mgmt" is short for management. There were a whole bunch of tweets yesterday getting back to Manchester and planning the 2010 festival. It has nothing to do with the band.

mgmt is a young band and they have had some sloppy performances in the past. you can find those on youtube, but if you think they didn't play well at bonnaroo last year than you probably don't like the album either. their show at bonnaroo was a good musical performance so it really is just a matter of taste. three years in a row is not necessary but i would check them out again.
I caught Portugal. The Man, tonight here in Gainesville, Florida at the Common grounds. After the show I went up to John and asked him if they were going to play bonnaroo...and he said with a deep longing breath, "yeah bonnaroo what a trip...we wont be making it to bonnaroo this year, but we will be at cochella and sasquach."
I at least got to shake his hand and say brilliant work.
Would have loved to have seen them in the bonnaroo element this year! What a great show they put on tonight.

As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
