DJJD just tweeted: "Help on Z - star is not always spelled S T A R, writer or wronger, that's the help."
My father would call me "Wrongo Starr" when I was wrong about things as a kid. While this seems too obvious based on DJJD's clue, maybe that's the point.
"This is clue Z......Before the star hatched is what is two times before I was"
I could see this meaning that there was a band that created stardom for one person, but another person in that band was in 2 more bands before THEY became a star.
Edit: are there any bands that relate "star" and "egg" ? Or maybe a person who was in one band that relates to "egg/birth/hatching" and another band that relates to "star/space"?

This is a kinda interesting train of thought--
but maybe in wrong direction. What was the name of the talking horse?
An example of what I was thinking would be the band Becky. Mailhouse was in Dogstar with Keanu Reaves before Keanu became a star. He co-created Becky. I don't know if we can consider Mailhouse a star, exactly, but he has been on TV numerous times and I hear Becky is a fun live band.
This is the kind of logic I'm looking at for the moment.

Another possibility...Black Hole SUN was was on the band's breakout album. Then there was solo work (3 albums) and Audioslave (3 albums).
But the group that hatched Black Hole Sun "is two times before" for Chris Cornell, depending on how you count it up. And this is their second hatching.
DJJD said I hit on something, but not what I thought. And then after he asked who was the talking horse...I googled ed, generation, and music and found this

any closer DJ?
I guess "Tommy" would likely be the hatched star. Not sure what "2 times before I was" relates to, tho.
Got it:
Tommy (The deaf boy) was a Rock Opera. Before that, 1965, The Who released My Generation. 2 Generations later (2005) Townshend blogged about The Boy Who Heard Music. According to Wikipedia, this developed into another opera and the basis for their last album! The clue giver is The Boy Who Heard Music, and he was hatched 2 generations after Tommy.

Lets pretend that the clue voice (operator5011?) is Julia Nunes since we know djjd has an association with her in recent weeks. She was born in 1989 or '89. The year before that would be '88. Half of that would be 44 and add one to that and you get 1945. Our answer (assuming JN is the voice) would have been born in 1945.
Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, Pete Townsend, John Fogerty, Carly Simon, Van Morrison, Don Maclean, Neil Young, & Lemmy Kilmeister are also 1945 alumni.
