I know I am guy, but I really like her music. and i really liked her show that i seen. I think she could play earlier in the day. i dont see her as a headliner. but i would enjoy it. plus i think she could be a good fit with the massive hate for kanye.

Before people jump in with their calls for trolling, sincere disgust over the suggestion, or just deadpan sarcasm, I'm gonna go ahead and say that I actually don't mind Taylor Swift. "Fearless" is a pretty good pop-country album, and she's a decent songwriter. But none of that makes up for the fact that she is in no way Bonnaroo material and this has a snowball's chance of happening.
Only if Kanye interrupts midsong. "Imma let you finish but I had the best bonnaroo set of all time!"
that would be great. but i dont think kanye is stupid enough to ever show up again. i know taylor wont be there. but i think it would be cool. and yeah she probably wouldnt fit properly. there would be way too many 13 year old girls there. bad suggestion. i know but i like what i like.

While I am not a fan of Taylor Swift at all it is mostly due to the whole country part. As I said in the Lady Gaga thread I am not opposed to bringing bigger pop acts to Bonnaroo. If Justin Timberlake was still making music, assuming it was half decent, I would love to see a headlining spot go to him. The real problem is that a lot of current chart topping artists don't have much cross appeal, and just have a huge following from a mostly singular demographic. If John Mayer's newest album didn't suck I'd say get him out to the farm. Enjoyed Continuum quite a bit, and he killed it with The Headhunters last time he was at the roo.
I love Taylor Swift, even with the ridicule from my friends that comes with it (I'm a guy). However, she's just not right for Bonnaroo. I would love it if she was there, but I just don't see it happening

I am a huge john mayer fan and would have to agree that the new album isn't as satisfying as any of the others. But I've seen John Mayer enough times to know that he would still put on an amazing live performance and turn some of those 3 minute pop tracks into 10 minute jams. Also, an even better suggestion: John Mayer Trio
...now that seems like the perfect mix between pop and a more tradtional bonnaroo performance
I don't like Taylor Swift's music but I am rooting for her to succeed. She seems like a sweet girl, she writes her own music and seems genuinely grateful for her success. Two of my nieces like (It's Miley!) Cyrus and Taylor, and I feel like Taylor is a much better person for them to look up to. However, I think I'd feel pretty weird doing half the stuff I did at Bonnaroo last year just knowing that Taylor Swift was at the farm. She's only six years younger than me, but she seems so innocent. She would be one of those girls I'd have to censor myself around.

Welcome to Inforoo.
EDIT: ah, just a tad late.
If only she could actually sing.
This would be a life ruiner for me, as I would have to abandon bonnaroo forever. Luckily this won't be the case.
Good lord, and i thought the gaga thread was a terrible idea.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
I really cannot believe that Taylor fucking Swift is being seriously discussed as a potential act for Bonnaroo. I was surprised when I saw the Lady Gaga thread, and cringed somewhat at the thought of her at Bonnaroo, but Taylor Swift makes Lady Gaga look like goddamn Beethoven. Who's next, Miley Cyrus? The Jonas Brothers? Gimme a freakin' break. Thankfully, I feel quite confident in saying that Taylor Swift has a snowball's chance in hell of ever performing at Roo.
I think this is the funniest board I have sen in a long time. I read the boards and never post. I am laughing out loud that this discussion is going on.... Im not picking on anyone or saying its bad at all I PROMISE!!! I just think this thread is a riot!
