Anyone else checked out the new album from The Black Crowes? Came out last week and I haven't been able to stop listenin' to it since! This is a phenomenal record from these guys, better than anything they've done in years (and I've loved all their records). Wish I could have afforded to go to the sessions where they recorded this at Levon Helm's barn up in NY. In addition to the CD you get a code to download another free nine-song album titled ...Until the Freeze. Apparently if you use the vinyl's tracklist it's even some kinda conceptual or story-like record. Can't wait to try that. With this out I hope they get invited back to the Farm this year!

Naw, Truth and Salvage Co. is opening most shows on this tour. Haven't heard 'em yet but Chris Robinson produced their new album or EP and it's bein' put out through the Crowes' Silver Arrow label. Other nights on the tour are billed as An Evening With The Black Crowes, which could mean 2+ hours of Crowes awesomeness.
I'll agree. It was on special on amazon mp3 download for like 2.99 I pulled the trigger right away and figured how could you go wrong. I love I got it so cheap but after listening to it I would pay full price at the drop of a hat. With 20 songs, it's a lot of music and I was listening to it for a while cleaning up the house on monday night and every song is just different enough that you can listen to the whole cd easy and look forward to every song. Lots of rock, folk, and even some country sound in this one. It's AWESOME.

Looks like I may have to download it tonight. I haven't liked much that they've done since Lions came out. That was the last time I saw them live as well and was not impressed. But now that they've got LD playing with them, it may be a different story.
