I think Springsteen is a bigger name in general, in that I could mention him to any of my friends, or my parents' friends, or even my grandparents' friends and they would almost certainly know who I was talking about - not so with Phish. However, Phish has a much greater appeal to the Bonnaroo community, which is why I think they'll be first.
To me, this is a no-brainer. Sure, Bruce is every bit as collosal in his own right - but Springsteen is not the act that Superfly tried for years and years to book, only to keep getting rejected. Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band aren't about to play their first shows in five years.
In my mind, it's not even a contest, and this is coming from someone who is much more excited for Bruce Springsteen than he is for Phish.
