Can you leave the festival every evening for a hotel room and return the following day or is it once you are in you have to stay? Sorry if this has been asked before but I am a first timer. Thanks in advance!
Yes you can come and go as you please from the day parking area. Understand though that this is a town of 9900 people that absorbes the traffic influx of almost 100,000 people over an extended weekend.
Coming and going isn't a quick easy affair! That is a serious strain on our traffic infrastructre. Our roads aren't designed to handle that many people at once! The traffic is pretty harsh.
That said, There are alot of people who use the hotels. But you WILL miss some music, a lot in fact, and you'll miss one of the most important aspects of the roo experience!
roo funk is more than just par for the course. it's a guilty pleasure.
camping is the only way to go.
I'm in love with you. Girls I date just don't talk like that!
What!? Mrs. Featherbottom is into chicks, has the whole world gone mad
but getting to the point, Bonnaroo without camping seems rather pointless to me its part of the experience. Sitting around after the final walk back to the site for the night. drinking some beers and reminiscing about the days events.. it really is the best, but I wouldn't mind the hotel room when its 9000 degrees in my tent every morning

Just reading that is getting me insanely pumped up. I dont know what Im going to do with all this extra energy over the next few months. I think Im just gonna start jogging to tennesee. Ill bring one of those monkeys with the crank boxes to pick up some dough along the way.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
Never thought I would be looking forward to camping with no showers, lots of dust, scorching temps and thousands of people - but after doing 'roo last year - I cannot wait to get dirty again this year!
