I wanted to once again thank all of you who have been so helpful to me. You are very kind to help so much. I'm starting to get the feeling that my lack of music knowledge, & many accommodation questions are starting to irritate people, so I'll move on & look for my answers elsewhere. I hope all of you have a great time at the festival, & everyone you want to see perform is there.
What are you doin here puttin out some sort of guilt trip.
C'mon now this is INFOROO....a place to come for questions!!!!!!
You'll never get the kind of information you need elsewhere. Inforoo is where its at. As for a lack of music knowledge who cares....the fact that you attempt to learn is enough for most folks here. I mean that is WHY YOUR HERE right??? It comes down to the fact that this is a great message board but it is just that a message board...so who cares if people are irritated or not.....got a question....Ask on
Oh come on -- you're not going anywhere -- we're not going to let you!!!
As I'm sure you've noticed from browsing the forums, there's plenty of folks getting under the skin of each other, but everyone gets over it and gets along in the end. Trust me, any annoyance you think you've caused is really nothing. Also, you aren't going to find any Bonnaroo resource like this board -- that's a guarantee.
Don't worry about being inquisitive and certainly don't worry about knowing everything about the music! Many people go into Roo much more "clueless" than yourself!

Its silly to think people get annoyed by asking questions, thats what this sites for. And if someone asking questions really bothers someone that much, i think thats the person that should leave.

Dont trade your Inforooster title in yet. When the artists are announced this will be the place to be to ask about them and find out who ya might like. I wish Id known about this site before my first Roo cause when I first found it I saw that about a thousand people asked questions that Id given anything to have asked before going. You'll find lots of good tips and see that people will be askin questions ud never thought of and that will be priceless knowledge
seriously we're all obsessed with bonnaroo 6 months before the event, why would we mind answering questions?? it gives me somewhere to put my obsessive knowledge to good use ;D
Mom , I think that you are a hit! WE all love your enthuasim for the event. I hope to meet you and and the family. I hope to meet many Inforooers this year. Ya'll look up the tall guy!

I'm sorry if anyone (me?) offended you or anything. We were all just trying to help you with your first Roo experience. Maybe some of us were a little too direct, but we were only trying to honestly prepare you for what could be the best time of your life. Regardless, I'm sure we're all eager to meet you. Hope to see you in June.

Please don't go! We're usually a pretty accepting community. Not always the most patient community, but accepting we are. I'm not sure what happened to give you that vibe but I hope it was a misunderstanding. That said, in any group of this size there are going to be a few jerks -- please don't let them ruin it for you and your son!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

And hey jason, where is the line, "Have a coke and a smile" from? I use it all the time and I have no idea how I started!!!!
In "Raw", while doing his whole Bill cosby/Richard Pryor bit, Eddie Murphy (as Pryor) says "Tell Bill to have a coke and a smile and shut the f*ck up! Jello pudding eatin' motherf*cker!".

I think that we scared her off somehow. I dug her, but I think she didn't understand that we were all trying to help her with our comments/advice. It makes me sad, I liked her.

Well your missing the clueless part. ;D Its unfortunate that shes gone, because it sounded like this site would've helped her a lot. It seems she still didnt grasp the population of bonnaroo, which is something that i think you have to be prepared for.

You guys are so sweet. <hugs> I'm glad I stopped by to check for updates. It's only one week now.
It really wasn't my intention to lay a guilt trip on anyone or make anyone feel bad. I was getting a lot of replies saying I (or we) probably shouldn't even go to Bonnaroo. Apparently, I come across to some as too uptight & inflexible to fit in with the Roo crowd. I really am looking forward to going, & it was getting discouraging. I took the replies as a sign that my obsessive planning was really starting to get on some people's nerves. Yes, I'm a planner. To me, that's part of the fun. ;D By the time we get to our destination, most of the plans go out the window, but it's fun making them.
Thanks again, for all the kind words. I'll continue to lurk & try to avoid asking the dumb &/ or annoying questions.
trippindaisy, You're much more cool that I am. I'm a sports nut, & my son has little interest in sports. I grew up listening to the music I thought was fun & had a good beat (80s style). We didn't dissect songs for their true meaning. I didn't really know there was a deeper meaning in most of them. I've had to learn all about music from the ground up, just to be able to discuss it with him, & show that I'm interested in his life. It's been an enlightening experience.
