Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
What do people think? I think it's a decent choice, though I've never seen them live so it's not a hugely informed opinion. Better than the two others I heard mentioned as possibilities, The Eagles and Garth Brooks.
Tom Petty's alright. He played a solid (if not spectacular) set at Roo in '06. I doubt it will touch Prince's 2006 set, but it's a step up from Paul McCartney putting me to sleep.

I'd bet on only Breakdown and I Won't Bad Down from that list, and probably only one of the two. Sure things: Refugee, Free Fallin', Learning to Fly. American Girl probably too, but I hate that song, so I hope not.
its not going to happen. i was at pettys bonnaroo performance and yes it was amazing. but the tour he did was his farewell tour. hes just happy doing his radio show on xm....just my guess
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

i don't think they play "breakdown" anymore. not likely. "free fallin'", "runnin' down a dream", "i won't back down", and "american girl" are all very likely. it should be a great performance. not as exciting or spectacular as Prince tho
