Alright y'all, we've been doing this Survivor thing long enough, it's time to mix up the format. I started with a list of 30 bands, which I randomly sorted and the top 20 made the game. unclephillian has the full order so I can promise this is entirely unbiased. Your goal is to vote for the rank each band deserves, without knowing the other bands on the list. Survivor results have always been stupid, why not make em stupider!

Never have listened to them but they look scary so going with #13.
13 or 6 probably the two best answers. Teddy likes some of their super heavy shit but when Death Blooms video came out was the first time I heard of them. It’s far more melodic than say a band like slipknot that also looks scary.
I don't consider Mudvayne buttrock. They mostly stuck to the harder side of nu metal.
Towards the end of their first run they had a few songs that flirted with buttrock but I took that as just them wanting to get in the Breaking Benjamin lane so they could get their music licensed for WWE games and energy drinks and not as some kind of sonic evolution. Guys gotta get paid.

All nü metal is buttrock. Not all buttrock is nü metal.

I love how you thought “okay, now who is definitely not gonna participate in this game because this isn’t their music” and thought of me
15 and 18 would be bad. I just know Teddy is gonna hit us with Lips of an Angel and shit later. Teddy likes Mudvayne AFAIK. He's gonna throw some real dogshit at us after this, I think.
