I'm sure I'm not the only one having problems the past week(+) with the Kavanaugh bullshit going on, but man I am almost to my breaking point. The misogyny that persists in this country is freaking maddening and exhausting. I hope the furor it's causing at least shines a bright light on things like this and they don't all just get swept away forever. It's been too painful, and it's been going on far too long.
You know how sometimes you need to violently vomit in order to settle your stomach? I'm holding onto the hope that all of this is just America with her face over the toilet bowl. Drank too much bullshit for too long and now she's getting it out. Hang in there; it's a rough ride but you're definitely not alone.

I hope that too, but when someone like this asshole gets a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land it makes me feel like maybe we'll just be hunched over the toilet bowl forever.
An Inforooster's little daughter is very sick. She is my dancing buddy at Shaky Knees. Please, if you believe in God, send her a prayer. If you don't, send some healing vibes. Thank you.

FUUUUUUUCK
FUCK. I am so sorry.
Thanks girl.
In positive news, my friend & her hubs made me dinner last night and I am very grateful for them. Also, dogs are the best.

Sorry for the news. Break ups are hard. Glad you're seeing positives in life too.
Thanks.
The break up sucks, but it was a looong time coming. So it’s really kinda relieving now. I have to move back in with my parents, so that’s not totally awesome but I’m grateful that I have the option. Save up some money and find a nice place at my own pace instead of rushing and taking whatever I can get. My friends already told me I can crash with them on the weekends. I’ve got a co-worker that knows and he’s been really awesome to talk to/keep me distracted.

Also dealing with some breakup blues (Sending you my love heyyitskait ). After 9 months together we broke up, this time for good I believe. It's crazy because he's the first person I could see myself being with for a long while but the last few months have really kicked my suspicions from the previous relationship (being lied to/cheated on) into over drive not to mention he broke up with me two times in two weeks back in July and things have been dicey since. When I checked his social media he had taken every photo of me down, every mention, ever concert, everything. I'm basically erased. That hurts. The next morning I did a clinical rotation in a Children's hospital pediatric intensive care unit. Those Nurses are the best people in the world, I'm convinced. It was really hard to see so many children and their parent's in pain. On my way home I got a call about my mammogram and they want me back in this Friday to do more testing for a "dense mass" in my right breast. UGHHH!
On the bright side, I'm kicking ass in Nursing school and finished my last clinical for this semester, today. Also Dave Maynar is still an amazing friend and has been totally supportive. My boys are healthy, funny, and loving. AND secret santa is ON!
I am sorry to hear about y'alls breakups. Breakups suck. Being erased sucks. When I broke up with my ex, I was lucky because he wasn't on social media. It wasn't until he met his now wife that he joined and I immediately blocked both of them. I highly recommend blocking exes. It is a difficult enough time without having to see them on social media. I love technology but when it comes to the heart it isn't always the best thing and doesn't always help us heal or move on. I hope both of you are doing well and am always here if you need an ear or ghost hugs.
It seems like everything in my life is going south at once and I'm feeling very overwhelmed. I have car, housing, and medical issues all at once without enough funds to go around.

I'm sorry Matt. I hate when that happens, I hope it turns around soon <3

Just spent $1200 on dental and $500 on tires. Yesterday, my check engine light came on. Currently sitting at a mechanic because the first estimate for repairs was $2k+ to fix the biggest problem on this car which isn't paid for.

the cooktop on my range was made out of glass. two days ago I pulled out the cast iron pans I store in the oven and put them on one of the burners and the whole thing shattered. glass everywhere, wife out running errands. trying to finish cooking dinner, clean up tiny pieces of glass all over the kitchen, and herding a very interested 1.5 year old to safety kinda of sucked.
but today I found out that good ole GE discontinued that part. so I guess my kids are getting a new range for christmas.
I think my biggest grrrr is really...I have to get rid of a perfectly working oven/stove because I can't get a rather simple replacement part (basically a piece of glass with 4 holes in it). It just seems so wasteful.

Second opinion is starting with spark plugs which are overdue for a change and fit the symptoms better. Not sure if anything else will be needed though.

That was an impressive mess I saw on snapchat or Instagram. Have you checked for an OEM replacement? I've replaced a couple parts in mine with OEM because the manufacturer didn't make parts anymore.

yeah, I been searching. I found the part #, but the GE parts website, and a bunch of other random appliance repair sites all say it's been discontinued and isn't available. There's a used appliance/repair mom and pop place that I am going to call in a little bit and see if they can help. So far this isn't a problem I've been able to solve by sitting on the internet.

You used cast iron on a glass cooktop? I used to have a glass cooktop at one point and I was told that cast iron on it is no-no rule #1.
Sucks you have to buy a new cooktop and of course you can't just replace something, that would be way too easy.

no, we have a gas stove. There is a sheet of glass that covers all the gas lines/electronics, and has holes where the drip pans/burners/grates extend through.

WHEW! I have gas as well. It is the best. When I bought my house (holy shit two years ago now!) I had to buy a new gas cooktop and Home Depot had the best variety and choices if you HAVE to buy a new one.
Girlfriend and I broke up after 2 1/2 years. It was my first serious relationship and I just kind of don't know what to do.
You mourn for a little. That's a significant relationship, and you're not going to be okay with it same day regardless of the why of the break up. When my 3+ year relationship ended in May, I was definitely sad even if it happened for good reasons.
My wife totaled her car this morning because some jackass was playing with his phone instead of, you know, driving. She had taken one of the kids to daycare. Fortunately, this happened after.
She's fine, just a little bruised and sore. I'm just glad she's here.

We use a cast iron skillet on our glass cooktop all the time. You have to be careful with it, but we aren’t giving up our cast iron.
