If my laptop was ever stolen I don't know what I would do. I imagine it'd be similar to the feelin' of when my iPod recently crashed and erased everythin'. Hope you get your computer back!
Woke up alone again. I'll never settle and he'll never forgive me. I've presumably got decades more to go always waking up alone. And it hurts more as Roo gets closer, because I can't imagine it without him.
Buck up, lass. It's all gonna be o.k.
Hopefully, you do have decades to go -- true. But that doesn't mean you'll wake up forever alone. Usually, even, waking up alone most mornings is waaaaaay better than than waking up next to the wrong person EVERY morning. Please trust me on this.
You need to come to Roo anyway, and enjoy it like you never met him in the first place. What might seem now to be 80,000 "strangers" will turn out to be at least a few dozen who met you, and were just happy that you were happy.

We've all been there. Personally, last year was kinda tough for me. You'll get through it and you'll soon be having so much fun at Roo it won't bother you.
Just got an estimate for all the dental work I need and it's almost $3000. Plus about $8000 worth of orthodontic work needed to fix my TMJ problems. Then a permanent crown. I am so bummed out. I don't know how the f I am going to pay for this, even with a loan, but I'm tired of being in pain and having trouble chewing so I have to do something. I hate being in my 30s and not being able to take care of my problems financially. It makes me feel like such a loser. : (

Sorry to hear this I'm there with you as far as the big dental bill. One day at a time and solve one issue. Do you have dental insurance?

I do, but it's kind of crappy, and I'll reach my cap on what they will pay per year soon. And they don't cover orthodontic at all. ARG!! : ( Thanks for your empathy.

I am really starting to hate the fact that my boyfriend and I live together but due to opposite work schedules we only see each other every 3-4 days—and it's only been two weeks since this started. Wah.
I went to my parents' house in Memphis this weekend. While I was there my family dog who was 15 died. Her name was Copper and she was a chocolate lab. We got her when I was in 4th grade. I will miss her so much.
Really sorry to hear this, krs. It's just like losing a family member. Because, well, they ARE a family member.
I had a golden retriever I got when I was a sophomore in college. He also lived 15 yrs. The last six months of his life were very rough, for both of us. I just didn't have the heart to have him "put down" -- which, in retrospect, would've been the much more humane thing.
He passed away three days before my wife (of ten years) and I split up. Looking back on it now, I still miss my dog.
About 1:40 in, you can vaguely see my friend Cassie from Occupy Hartford. She later is shown getting carried out of the crowd. She was hit in the head by a Chicago cop's baton.

KRS, I am SO sorry to hear about your pup. Losing a pet is never easy. The day before my 17th birthday, some guy came to clean our carpets and ended up hitting my 16-year old long-haired dachshund in the driveway. The poor thing was deaf and blind and had no clue there was even a car there...but the guy did. He just "assumed she was going to move". Losing her was really tough. When you've got a pet in the family that is there nearly your entire lifetime, saying goodbye and grieving is the worst. hugs.
And I needed to vent for a quick minute. My boss is a certifiable pig. During lunch, he was talking with some co-workers about The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. This man is well into his 60s and while everyone else was talking about how good the movie is, how the original is better or worse, or whatever, he chimed in and decided to mention his infatuation with Rooney Mara. That's fine. But it wasn't until he said he thought she was especially attractive when "she took her clothes off". I'm sorry, but wasn't she getting raped in the film when she was naked?! That may be the most inappropriate thing to say in a work place and the most inappropriate time to objectify a woman. I can't wait to leave this place.
I hate being in my 30s and not being able to take care of my problems financially. It makes me feel like such a loser. : (
You are not alone! We were just discussing this in the chat the other night. Money is dumb. Necessary and dumb. And even in your 30's there's never enough. It's disturbing how we're taught that once we're in our magical 30's we'll be wealthy and have no $ issues, and have houses and families and cars that work and perfect teeth and jobs we love to go to. It's just not always true, and I'd even say it's the minority. So, don't feel like a loser - you are certainly not the only one!!!
Solidarity, brothas and sistas. Destitute solidarity.

My Dad, who is waiting on a living transplant, told my 4 and 7 year old kids that, "He might die". He has also said some BS about going to heaven in the sky and the like. Kids that age can't understand what the death of their favorite Papaw might mean and it has worried the hell out of them. So now they are asking me, "If papaw doesn't give his new liver, how long till he dies? Papaw said he might die in surgery. If we don't believe in God we won't get to see Papaw in Heaven." Oh, let me just say, It's so ON when I see him today.
^^^Shoot Abra. That's rough. Im sorry that you're going through a hard time with your dad, and add to that him dropping bombs on your boys like that. (((Hugs))) and luck talking with your dad today. <3
