This has nothing to do with anything, but I found this quite humorous. I was on Jack Johnson's website seeing if they had fixed the times he was playing.
Doors Open: 11:00 am / Show Time: 12:00 pm Venue Address: 1560 New Bushy Branch Road Capacity: 80,000 Seating: General Admission Age: All Ages Supporting Act(s): Pearl Jam, Metallica
I love how Jack's "supporting acts" are Pearl Jam and Metallica. I wonder what his fans are thinking. Haha..
any chances of ween or sts9 coming back this year? I've heard different things.
ween said they wont be doing U.S. shows again till late summer... so sadly i'm afraid its a no on ween. but good news is that deaner is talking about starting a ween festival in PA.
I was listening to Bonnaroo radio, and they played a song by Daft Punk. I looked at the complete line-up and Daft Punk has never played Bonnaroo before. Could this be a hint that they will be there this year? Does Bonnaroo radio only play bands that have been there before?
Actually- Radio Bonnaroo is acts that have played Bonnaroo and Vegoose- acts that *might* play and acts that will play. Plus, music that DjJd happens to like.
couple of quick things guys... 1st being a question. can anyone tell me about robert randolph's revival? i'm familiar with many of his projects other than the family band, but not this one...anyone know who his collaborators for this band are? secondly, i figure since luther dickinson of north mississippi all-stars is now secondary guitarist for black crowes, and since they have a large gap in their tour with no major festivals, that both the NMAS and black crowes will be playing the roo and more than likely added in the first artist addition

I hope Brian Wilson is added! We could use another classic artist, and who knows, maybe he'll bring along Mike and Al so we can have a true Beach Boys reunion.

I saw him live last summer at the Harmony Music Fest, and it was kinda sad. The mental trauma he has gone through really shows, and he's not in the moment of the music...just somewhere far away.
anyone else feeling let down by the fact that the first artist addition was a comedian, i mean, chris rock should be awesome, and being on the what stage will bring a cool new aspect to the fest, but i was looking for something with a little more girth..
Have any of you guys ever seen Metallica live before? It's a kick ass show actually. And I think its pretty cool that Chris Rock is doing an hour set on the What Stage on Friday. Good stuff.
Have any of you guys seen the Metallica 'Some Kind of Monster DVD'? That did it for me. Had some respect for what they did early on but after seeing this...what a bunch of washed up, self-indulgent, disrespectful, whiny, brats. Not to mention the fact that the album that resulted from these sessions can hardly be called music. It was truly difficult to watch.

I'm not trying to complain.. because I will be attending bonnaroo regardless of the headliners.. but I've seen Metallica.. and they weren't that great.. Roo has spoiled me with headliners like radiohead

Yeah, that DVD is a turnoff to a lot of people. I wonder what releasing that was supposed to accomplish?
I'm thinking The Breeders are going to be at roo. just looked at the tour dates and they will be around it at the same time.
Wed 06/11/08 Washington, DC 9:30 Club Fri 06/13/08 Atlanta, GA The Loft At Center Stage
Oh god I hope they will be at Bonnaroo. Karma for even mentioning the Breeders. The Pixies are my favorite band, and I will probably will never get to see them live so I am hoping to to see the Breeders and Frank Black sometime.
I loooooooove the Pixies. However, having seen the Pixies, Frank Black & The Catholics and Frank Black solo, I would say the Pixies were the worst live show of the bunch. Still one of my favourite concert memories, simply because I was seeing the fucking Pixies. It was the second show of their reunion tour (supposed to be first, but they played a secret show) and they were still a little rusty
Frank Black & The Catholics was one of the best shows I have ever seen. There was a really bad snow storm that night and they closed the highways during their show, so they had no way of getting out of town. At one point Frank said "Well, the highways are close and we're stuck here without a hotel room, so we might as well play as long as we want." It ended up being around a 50 song set. They opened with Where Is My Mind? and played lost of other Pixies songs (Mr Grieves, Crackity Jones, an amazing Gouge Away) plus it was one of the only times they played St Francis Dam Disaster, which is quite possibly my favourite Frank Black song.
If you ever have the chance to see Frank Black, definitely go.

Yeh, I think they will play Bonnaroo in the future. Tom loved Bonnaroo, and after Tool and Metallica, I think Bonnaroo will be ready for Rage Against the Machine.

Well, true, but I've said it before and I'll say it again. No way Metallica isn't at least better than the Police last year.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.
