Saw some Roo tus at hot topic yesterday.. They had a bunch of stuff on Sale, summer stuff from last year. I found an awesome neon green/ yellow one at Clair's for ( wait for it ) 2$

That is a pretty good deal. I love clearance stuff! Most of my supplies are either clearance, goodwill scrap bags or dresses and skirts, or remnants. Remnants make me really happy. It's like using a coupon without having to use a coupon! And you don't have to wait for the to cut it. I get great ones at hobby lobby all the time. I didn't know hobby lobby was a bad company, but it didn't surprise me to hear that. It's pretty sketch in there sometimes.
^ Yeah. Hobby Lobby threw a big stink about providing coverage for birth control. Really sucks that there's a Hobby Lobby right down the street from me, but I have to drive across town for Michaels or Joann's. My lady parts appreciate it, though.
this week's edition of EAP is bored and makes crafts: i've had this old navy crossover bag since highschool (so like 13 years or so lol) and decided to spice it up a bit for festivals.
I need to get crafty again. Thinking of making a RooTu to match all of the panda shirts I've been getting to wear on the farm. Thinking black, white, & blue. It won't be as nice as my Clemson one mayo made me, but I'm excited to try my hand at making them.

Not sure if ill get in trouble for this... But I wanted to share a giveaway I'm doing this week in my Etsy shop! thanks lady! super easy, just fabric paint, iron-ons and buttons. i also hand stitch a few times through the iron-ons when i put them on festival stuff, just so they will stay longer.

YEAH! Steph, Im making a RooTu to match the panda tank I got in the Secret Santa from Jimmyroo. It will be black sparkles, a darker turquoise and I think for fun, Im gonna throw in some neon green. If you need any tips Steph, just let me know! Also we need to find a time that I'll see you so I can pass along the Singer
Also, I went to Hobby Lobby the other day for fun and since the tulle was 50% off, I just went ahead and bought a few rolls to add to the collection. I think that with the new sewing machine, i'll be able to stitch some fancy tulle things to add to Tus this year. Im replicating the bustled tu I made for Abra again this year to replace hers that was lost at Moog. Im pretty excited to attempt sewing it instead of hot gluing all over it.
hobby lobby is way too awesome for me to not shop there. if i had to start picking companies based on things that made me mad i'd be able to shop basically nowhere. i grew up in a small town in west texas though, so crazy bible beaters are not that uncommon for me to be around lol.
Agreed. Also, and not starting anything! Just being specific for those who may not know the details , Hobby Lobby was disputing paying for/covering any Plan B or "morning-after" medication; they were not disputing all birth control. But like EAP said, if I had to decide where to shop based on those companies policies, I feel confident I'd have nowhere to shop. It's not a cross I choose to bear over tutu tulle and glitter. But to each his own! You can find craft materials all OVER the place - look at scrog - that guy made a tutu out of walmart bags!

Really? It's mine? You are without a doubt the BEST!!! I need to take Emma to Atlanta to the American Girl Doll Store, so maybe we can meet up then. I'll let you know when we plan it. I've been promising her the trip forever. And I will definitely need some advice when making my RooTu. We should plan a craft day. You teach me to make a RooTu & zen teach me to crochet/knit.

My tu at Moog was a pandatu! Mostly black, a bunch of white and light blue flair since light blue was the color of my heart on the hat <3 I've been SO incredibly busy lately that I haven't been able to get going with my Waneetu..

If finding out that hobby lobby doesn't use barcodes bc the owner thinks that's how we will all be marked by the anti Christ didn't stop me from shopping there, I really doubt anything will. Lol
