Who is that one who stage/outeroo/undercard act that you feel like you’re the only one of your friends that knows about them and you’re gonna spend the whole weekend hyping them up because they’re crazy good and everyone needs to go see them?

Just saw that Macklemore is playing a show on June 8th in Houston. Strangely enough this in the middle of his European tour. Not that that's impossible, just strange that he would travel back and forth for 1 show.
Could Macklemore potentially be the secret WITW headliner on Sunday? Not that I want to see him, but would that be possible size wise?

Wow if Posty joins the peppas the set will be good. Maybe since JOhn FRusciante is back I haven't seen them with john frusicante so i'm looking forward to it.
if you were there what did you see? if you weren't there what would you see?
Rebelution > Bomba Estereo > Big Sam's Funky Nation > Nortec Collective > Isis (!!!) > The Melvins > The Dead Weather > Weezer > Stevie Wonder > Jay-Z > Deadmau5 > Bisco
i know many music festivals look better in hindsight yadda yadda but still what a sick day of music.
btw ISIS in this case is an awesome post-metal band, not the terrorist organization or the spy organization from Archer.
Oh man, what a ride. Let's see if I can remember all of this correctly... Started with Big Sam I believe then hit Nortec Collective. Then Norah on the way to Jimmy Cliff. Saw one of the biggest which crowds ever at avetts so we went to a tent with no one at it for the band that played that "I really f*cked it up this time" song that had just been released. We were with some friends who volunteered at the college radio station in Knoxville and we danced our a$$es off to Mumford and Sons with the other 400ish people in the tent. Still the only Mumford show I've ever really enjoyed. It was insanely high energy. "This band might get big," we thought at the time. Then Dead Weather then John Prine. I think they gave Prine the key to the city at that show. Phenomenal. Then Stevie Wonder, who was great from start to finish. My buddy Jon Sexton was playing the Miller Lite stage or the Sonic stage between Stevie and Jay Z. He had decided that he was going to attempt to break the Guinness world record for "amount of hugs in a 24 hour period," which he had started the day before. Great news/bad news/great news on that. Just before the record breaking hug, he got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes and everyone went nuts. Record broken. The bad news was that he lost his voice by talking to the nearly 9000 people who hugged him and he had a show the next night. But just a couple hours before his show, he was in the artist lounge trying to figure out what to do when John popper gave him a recipe to get it back. Lemon juice, honey, whiskey and one other thing I can never remember. Anyhow, it worked and he played his show, as the only unopposed artist all day other than Stevie. Afterwards, we went to Jay z on cloud ten and then to thievery. Had next to no energy left but we somehow got side stage for thievery and got after it again. On the way back to camp, I think we saw gwar turning the fountain blood red with whatever it is they have in those guns.

Looking at the ACL lineup.... Jungle and Vince would have looked fantastic on our lineup...just saying. Any talks of late additions to the lineup? Is that still a thing?

Infinity Song will be a household* name next year I think.
*redditors will be talking about them
And then Trousdale as always for me. It's like if Boygenius was sad about boys instead of the crushing weight of existence

Dombrance. Already putting in a bunch of work and getting some level of buy in though.

svdden death is already there might as well have them go b2b. mello running the longest con ever changing from an underground trap artist to more mainstream pop type stuff and becoming very popular than turning back to some heavy ass dubstep. love to see it. i know this was a mello hate comment but there ya go lol
I signed up for Red Rocks pre-sale. Really wanna know what the blurred out dates are though. Also, hopefully they add more dates, I figured they would do more stops this year.
if i don’t have a spiritual experience at pretty lights , im going to be so mad at everyone that’s been absolutely hyping them? him? up
Pretty Lights is not a problem for most people at Roo but yeah whatever helps you sleep at night. Most people are experienced and know how to rest during the day to ensure they have a spiritual experience at Pretty Lights. You have stated what is effectively a non-issue

i am mostly hoping pretty lights lives up to expectations which it sounds like he will. i’ve just seen so much hype across the board. i definitely have more of a plan to make it to the sunrise set this year aka red bull and power nap after the peps ✨

now i feel a little bad, what i posted was a relatively new copypasta.
i hope you have a wonderful time at pretty lights and if you don't i apologize for hyping him up too much. but he does have a great history with bonnaroo and i have no doubt him and the band will do everything they can to make both sets memorable.
