I was thinking I was going to be really nerdy and start doing like sang's setlist of the day... every day I'd post a show I have seen on that date. I was just looking for Jan. shows and realized I've only been to 3. Clutch in Jan. 04, Sylvan Esso in 15, Brandi Carlile in 19 (with Courtney Barnett opening and Courtney Barnett tomorrow.
I have an obsession with setlists. I’ve tracked every show I’ve ever been to on setlist.fm. I make Spotify playlists of the set lists for bands I’m going to see. I make dream setlists for bands that I like. I’ve brought this to the board with the Radiohead setlist draft.
Speaking of Radiohead, they're a band who doesn't play my favorite song from them very much. I know they tend to switch up their setlists pretty often, but I've rarely seen "How to Disappear Completely" on there.
Ive seen em play it 13 times. Comes with seeing em a lot.
This site has all the song data for Radiohead shows up til 2012. Bummed the person who runs it stopped the upkeep, but it was a pain in the butt. I remember there used to be a strength of setlist metric that used to get posted after they finished a leg and you always were wondering if you got the best one or not. Sucks, I think they disabled the user accounts, and cant log in to see the stats I had up til then.

I'm very glad I'm not the only one who does this lol
Edit: & I will never know peace having Lana as my favorite artist. I love her discography so much but setlists be kicking her ass.
I haven't seen Lana yet but remember checking out her setlists and having a LOT of my favorite songs missing. I like so much of her stuff lately tho, there would be a ton of songs I'd enjoy at her shows regardless.
My partner doesn't use any streaming services, so I burn her CDs of some of our favorite setlists for her to listen to in her car. Even got her one of those CD holders that strap to the sun visor. You know, like from 20 YEARS AGO
I went "It was NOT 20 years ago" then I realized im turning 36 next month and the last time I was one I was 16.
Artists I'm following their setlists every tour: Phish Goose Umphreys McGee Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band DMB (this is where the habit started)
Pretty much everyone else I see I don't bother, they don't mix it up enough. Radiohead I just like being surprised. Seen HTDC twice according to setlist.fm. First time was memorable because I was in line to buy a beer as it started.
The other day I was thinking about acts that I've seen that have played a song twice at the same show. These were the only ones I could come up with.
Mountain Goats opening and closing with The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton in Durham in 2010 LCD Soundsystem at Red Rocks playing All My Friends twice in a row all the way through because the first time the guitar cut out Watch The Throne doing In Paris a few times in Greensboro.

Brockhampton played STAR 6 times when they played HoB Boston in 2018
I love set lists. I’ll scope out a touring act to see what they’re playing before and if I feel the urge make a playlist of it before I see them.
One of my recent favorites was from Bon Ivers BI shows from last year. I felt like every song was amazing and I didn’t walk away thinking “ man, I wish he would have played ____”
Perth Minnesota, WI Towers 715 - CREEKS Heavenly Father 666 ʇ Hinnom, TX Wash. PDLIF (Live Debut) U (Man Like) Jelmore Michicant 33 “GOD” Blood Bank ____45_____ Naeem re: Stacks Holocene Calgary Lisbon, OH Beth/Rest
Encore: Skinny Love Flume The Wolves (Act I and II)
I'm pretty sure it's impossible to have a bad Bon Iver setlist

Love this from Goose. "Note: The band walked on the same way, said the same things into the mic, and opened both sets & encore with "Tribute To Gold" as a tribute to Groundhog Day."

Was leaning towards Japanese Breakfast over Robert Plant / Alison Krauss but a little disappointed in what I'm seeing from her setlist. Looks like she drops Posing for Cars and a few others I like for her festival setlists since she gets less time than a normal performance. I'm also a little worried about what songs get cut for CHVRCHES with them only having an hour. No "Good Girls" at BottleRock, and that would be disappointing.
Really liking what I'm seeing from The War on Drugs.
Non-Roo related, but just saw McCartney at Camden Yards and couldn't really ask for a better set. Only complaint was him not playing "Yesterday" but the last 4-5 songs plus the encore was a great way to end it.
Was at this show. Drove down from Knoxville with friends. I remember the strobe lights being really intense at one point and kinda making me sick. But the setlist was great for my taste. Heavy on in rainbows but I hadn't seen them since it came out, and lots of kid a plus pyramid song, you and whose army? And the gloaming.
We also went to Charlotte to see them the next night. Still one of my favorite things we’ve done.
scrolled through my shows trying to find a perfect or near perfect setlist. i've seen a ton of good shows but very few i'd put up as perfect. but when metallica filled in for a cancelled green day appearance at voodoo fest it was a one off without any new album to promote, they gave us this:
Metallica Voodoo Music and Arts Experience New Orleans, LA October 27, 2012
Hit the Lights Master of Puppets Holier Than Thou Harvester of Sorrow Of Wolf and Man Welcome Home (Sanitarium) All Nightmare Long Sad But True Fade to Black Orion One For Whom the Bell Tolls Blackened Nothing Else Matters Enter Sandman
ENCORE
Creeping Death* Battery Seek and Destroy
*preceded by Green Day's "American Idiot" and "Welcome to Paradise" jam
----
pretty damn great. only one post black album song, "All Nightmare Long" from Death Magnetic. For the record i'm a fan of Death Magnetic, but I don't think Metallica totally re-found their footing post-Load until "Hardwired".
was also a rare and silly thing to see Metallica play a few bars of "Welcome to Paradise"
oh shit, maybe a perfect Widespread Panic setlist?

postjack notes: crowd was rabidly frothing at the mouth when that "all along the watchtower" dropped into "arleen". also RIP Vic Chestnutt. i had no idea who he was when i walked into this show.

Seen em play it 15 times out of the 50+ times Ive seen them. Never disappoints. But yeah, if youre somebody who will just see them when they come through and not other places, itll be a hard one to come by. Im bummed they dont play other non obvious stuff from Hail to The Thief anymore.
In regards to "perfection" from them for myself, it has to include my 3 faves or its not a contender. Climbing Up The Walls, National Anthem and Talk Show Host. Only seen 2 shows that had all 3 in one setlist.
