Never realized there was a deadline associated with this lol. Is it just easier for the OP to track that way? Not sure why it matters
LD and I always kept a deadline week or 10 days into the following month so we didn't have people voting for January in June and shit. If you're gonna call something the Album of the Month, it ought to be relatively timely.
was worried I wasn’t going to like the new Weather Station because it got a lot of online hype very quickly seemingly all at once, but it is in fact quite good!!

The Claud album that’s coming out Friday turned up in the mail today. It’s the first album on Phoebe Bridgers’ imprint with Dead Oceans. It’s more of a Sirius XM-style indie album than what Phoebe does (Shelly and Nick Hakim are both guests, for example, but I think it’s much better than that description makes it sound. Gold is probably the stand out track for folks who haven’t heard it already.

Anyone else finding this month to be surprisingly strong with releases? Black Country, New Road has been a really pleasant surprise, and then I'm loving the new albums from The Staves and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Plus the new Slowthai is awesome, new Hayley Williams is great early morning music, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets release is solid, and even dare I say it the new Foo Fighters album isn't fresh or exciting, but its still a pretty entertaining listen.

It won't be my pick for Feb, but the new Animal Collective with only Deakin and Geologist is pretty interesting. A soundtrack for some movie I've never heard of. I love Deakin's guitar work on everything he does.
