“The president's deeply immoral actions have made it obvious we need to rebuild our immigration system from top to bottom starting by replacing ICE with something that reflects our morality and that works,” Warren said during a rally in Boston.
I think it’s okay to draw a distinction between the customs enforcement part of ICE (smuggling guns out of the US, fentanyl coming a in, money laundering, etc) and the immigration part of ICE.
This concern is fully addressed by the "replace ICE" language that she used previously
One might find it interesting that a candidate so careful about giving a soundbyte like "Your taxes might go up" is apparently unconcerned about saying "We need ICE" in any context

I think the the Immigration wing of ICE is so broken that the whole agency needs to be broken up and replaced. But I also think the customs enforcement work HSI does is generally good and that mission should be supported. I have no concerns about her saying we need customs enforcement.
"But what about all the good parts of ICE" has generally been a bad faith right-wing attack on the "abolish ICE" movement, when the obvious answer (Which Warren, correctly, gave last year!) is "We replace ICE and continue the good work under another name"
I find the change in rhetoric notable, and I don't think the video really misrepresents that all that much
This article was so filled with fallacies, like defining Gen X, while not defining the Gen Z starting point and openly interpolating age-conflicts between Gen X and "millennials". While openly letting millennial be major different culture points that define our viewpoints: Bush election, 9/11, the Iraq War, and the Great Recession. Finding a backwards way of saying the class solidarity that some Gen X and Gen Y people have caused (Bonnaroo is actually a pretty good representation of that) doesn't exist. It's much easier to cause friction when you define people broadly.
We should. Reality is Jeff Bezos CALLED HIM to ask him if he'd be willing to run. What more do you really need to know? The rich need the rich/rich-adjacent to stay in office, by all cost. It's even crazier because Bloomberg is the one who SAID he did, that's just crass and stupid. He would be a terrible candidate, and the only hope is that it splits Biden voters out... but that's still amazingly stupid.
Edit: TBH I don't know anything about Deval Patrick. I just don't want another 20 person debate night.
He’s your average run of the mill centrist ex governor, I have no idea why he’s jumping in now
The timing is odd to me as well for a legitimate run. As much as Bloomberg sucks, he has a good amount of name recognition off the start. I can't imagine Patrick is someone normal people know, so he's already behind pretty much everyone else.

This Stephen Miller story seems like a big deal. I mean, we knew he was a white supremacist and a hateful man but now there are hundreds of leaked emails showing his hatred and plans for dealing with immigration. Basically telling Breitbart what to use in their "reporting".
In a just world he would he removed immediately. But I'm not expecting much to happen to him because of this

Not only removed but imprisoned. How his disgustingly ugly head has not found its way into a vice grip headlock is beyond me. He's probably the person in that administration that sucks more than anyone has ever sucked before.

Yeah I was just readin’ ‘bout this. Thankfully there is no more fairness or justice in this world so he’ll stay where he is, the WH will spin this to make him look like a saint, and some other terrible revelation will come to light next week and we’ll move on down the line.
I think that Buttigieg's recent popularity doesn't signify enough momentum to say he's THE frontrunner, but he's for sure top 4 now. And out of those top 4, he's far from my least favorite candidate (Joe Biden).
And again, as was stated above, these polls don't mean anything and it's only November. But, if some old, centrist boomers want vote for Pete instead of Joe in the primaries, I wouldn't hate it.

If I'm being honest, watching all these 70+ year olds ruin the country, and realizing most of them will live well into their 90s (because they've had great health insurance their entire lives), makes me reconsider if healthcare should even exist.
Point: we shouldn't take healthcare away from poor people with cancer.

Counterpount: Henry Kissinger is still alive.
70+ year olds also have their Medicare taking care of them, so they don't give AF if the rest of us are struggling to pay for healthcare services. Ironic
But yes, I'm also tired of older generations controlling our futures, just as I hate that men are controlling the healthcare decisions of women in this country.
