Jeeezz I just got my She & Him tickets. Over $100 each.
Luckily I got GA pit, but it looks like every ticket in the theater is the same price. Would be pissed to be spending the same amount in the balconies.
That's what happens when Zooey Deschannel is half your act

Are She & Him a big deal and can they play a place that size? Seems expensive. I imagine tickets will be readily available on day-of.

I'm pretty sure they played Kings Theatre last December for a christmas show, and it sold out.
BUT, tickets have been on sales for 3 days now and there's still GA Pit tickets available. So I think I jumped on this too quickly lol

Iceage replacing Dungen at OctFest. That's a bummer. Unlikely I'll be buying a ticket now
Thanks for reminding me this is happening, I’d pay the price of admission alone for Parquet Courts, somehow keep managing to miss them despite being one of my favorite bands.

I get it. I finally caught them at Bonnaroo, if I hadn't I'd probably be in the same boat. But Dungen was the band that was sealing the deal for me
Did not realize these two Maggie Rogers shows at Radio City were so in demand. $100 + even for mezzanine at this point. Ditto for the Keane show at Beacon Theater next year. Had no idea that many people still cared.

Lizzo's Radio City shows were going for like $200+ when I checked last week. Cheapest tickets for Kacey Musgraves' shows there next month are going for $85 right now

Things I learned last night: I am a better DJ than Janelle Monae.
She's such an amazing performer, and it was a perfect night for that particular venue. She kicked ass on the Dirty Computer material, and older stuff like "Tightrope" slayed. It was, like, 95% a really great show, but she took a break about two-thirds of the way through to do this little DJing interlude, and....oof. I can't fault her for the technical difficulties (we've all had that moment when our laptop unexpectedly freezes), but even when she got going, her mixing skills were rough and you could tell she's kinda new to it. The selection was fairly boss, though - you can't go wrong with "Bombs Over Baghdad," and dropping "Truth Hurts" on an NYC crowd at this particular point in history is pretty much just pressing the automatic party button.
Anyway. I guess when you're an absolute queen in literally every other artistic respect, you can be forgiven for asking folks who paid close to $100 a ticket to watch you practice mixing for a minute. Zero regrets about attending the show, though.

Lmao I took a bathroom break and came back to her little DJ set confused like, "what?" Very random. I was thinking about selling my ticket due to laziness but glad I didn't - completely agree it was a perfect night and perfect venue for the show. Third time I've seen her this year and the set still blows me away. "Primetime" into the "Purple Rain" solo into "Pynk" is perfection

I'll predict I make it to less than half. Only hit 5 of the first 20
Loudie just gave away free tix to Ty Segall on Oct. 3, in which I was able to claim a pair
Also got a pair, although White Denim are also that night so I may end up picking up tix for another Ty night
Oh shit, just realized the 10/3 Ty show is a late one. Doors aren't until 11:30. Which means I can definitely see White Denim at le poisson rouge and then head over to Bowery for Ty.
