Qtip seems to be implying that he deserves a nomination for doing a show. Unless he's going to specifically call out another artist that he deserves it over it's a pretty weak statement. Generally I have no issue with the Grammy's shit on black artists line of thought, but this year I don't.
Trent Reznors fuck you tweet at them for cutting him, Dave, Lindsey, and Homme off made more sense. The Beyonce/Adele, Kendrick/Macklemore thing, sure, this idk.

I think he's more pointing out hypocrisy in working hard to get ATCQ to perform but not nominating them (though it should be noted that the voting body and the people who put together the broadcast are different entities).
The impression I got is that he knows that that record will probably be the last shot he has at Grammy recognition, and it is a better album than all of the AOTY nominees and definitely all the best rap album noms. I don't know that he made any actual argument as to why it should be nominated, but he really shouldn't have to. It's not the worst snub in Grammy history, but it's one they won't have the chance to ever properly atone for

Gambino/A,ML!/Redbone deserves to sweep. Feel It Still is the best song in that category and the fact that Woodstock didn't get a nomination is criminal. one of the most overlooked albums of the year. P.tM went balls out on that album and I hope they get to perform FIS live at the show.

Grammy's 2017: Well Beyonce, you had a great album. But you ran up against Adele, so sorry.
Grammy's 2018: We kinda fucked over Beyonce last year, so let's just nominate Jay-Z as many times as possible. Does that make amends?
They still need to make amends to Kendrick for the Macklemore bullshit.
That being said, I’m going for Lorde or Jay Z for AotY
I just watched Anthony Fantano's predictions video and I was on the same page with him on a lot of stuff, but he kept saying Jay wouldn't win a lot because he's older but I think that's exactly why he'll win some. Does he forget that Beck won AOTY over Beyoncé and a slew of pop stars?
Basically what I'm saying is 4:44 is Jay-Z's Morning Phase
