Going to my first bowl game this year, the Music City bowl in Nashville. Taking my girlfriend for New Years, as the main attraction for the trip is John Prine/Jason Isbell/Kacey Musgraves on NYE. We first thought about going to the Predators game Thursday night but found it was a lot easier and cheaper to go to the bowl game.
As of now, CBS is projecting: Iowa vs. Kentucky, USA Today is projecting: Minnesota vs Tennessee and Sports Illustrated is projecting: Minnesota vs. Georgia. I would be fine with anything other than Tennesee, as we have no interest feeling like we are watching a game at Neyland.
El Paso is probably the harderst city to get to from Cincinnati. Ugh. Was really looking forward to a warm bowl game for once
I had heard you could be playing SC in Charlotte. That won't be any warmer but I'd love to see you destroy them.
Early Predictions said Stanford in the Sun Bowl. I would be good with Charlotte and would also enjoy destroying them although Pitt has a terrible historical trend of sucking in Bowl Games.

Well it was obvious we were making it but for the record, I would have totally accepted the result if Ohio State ws left out. We have the 2nd best resume in the country but not even winning our division is an obvious deterrent. We are also in a year that had minimal expectations due to age/replacing 500 starters from last year. We likely won't get past Clemson but in my eyes are already playing with house money. Don't want to look ahead to next year before this year ends, but man I am excited for this team in 2017.

I'm just thrilled that Clemson has got to this level. We're unquestionably top 4 and Ohio St fans are saying they probably won't beat us. Almost everyone says that if any team can beat Bama it would be Clemson. This is a great time to be a Tiger

I think we without a doubt have the talent to beat you guys, we are all just scratching our heads at what has happened to the right arm of Barrett. I'm afraid that 2 years ago his WRs were ALWAYS open and able to create separation which made him look so good. Devin Smith was the best deep ball WR in the country and now Barrett can't complete a deep ball if there's no defense on the field.
Ultimately, I don't think anyone is beating Bama and I'd give any of the 3 teams 15.5 pts. The worst part of all this though is the fact OSU-Clemson is on at like 7:30 NYE. Talk about hampering my plans!

It's going to be a great game. Last time we played I didn't think Clemson had a chance. Actually I think winning that game was probably the start of the confidence that we now have.
You also helped keep sang_xcx a little more humble going into the playoffs which is a great thing.
In Vols news, Reeves-Maybin is declaring for the draft. This is bad news for the Vols and good news for whatever team drafts him likely at a value pick.
If I were lane kiffin I would be all over that job, it makes too much sense. Great recruiting in TX, not a total rebuild/dumpster fire job like a lot of G5 positions. But because it is G5 there are some tempered expectations, lower in-conference pressure and competition, and it has proved to be a good stepping stone to higher tier P5 positions. Chance for Lane to prove he has learned something over the years and prove himself as a HC, especially since I think a lot of P5 schools are still wary of him. And there isn't really much else for him to go; he's hit the peak as an OC. With saban bringing in Sark I figured Lane expected to go somewhere after this season.
Unfortunately I'm hearing way too much chatter about bringing him back to replace Butch after next year.
Hurd is reportedly skipping on transferring and will declare for the draft. I am curious as to how that goes for him.
He's a turd, but that's the right choice. Learn a new position while getting paid for it rather than risking throwing it all away with an injury in college. I say he gets drafted based on size and speed alone.

That's the crux of my thoughts on him. He does seem to be a turd, but he has undeniable physical gifts. Also, he's learning a new position which is going to take some time. I can't imagine that he'd get drafted in the first couple rounds, but he'd go for sure.
