Looks like the Siamese Dream era Pumpkins are getting back together next summer for a tour and festival dates. You have to think they'd be a headliner. I'd assume they'll only plays stuff pre-Machina, the setlist they could build off off Siamese and Melon Collie would be fantastic. Hearing Jellybelly on the What Stage would be a dream come true!

Idk about them headlining. I think they'd be like Pre-HL on the What or Which

I could see late night on Which but there's no way they'd pre-HL on What. They could fill a 90 min setlist with just singles, I think they'll be doing something similar to LCD this year and Outkast last year, they'll play every fest imaginable. I think we can probably already pencil them in for Lolla as well, this would be their return to Chicago.
Smashing Pumpkins would fit the 2009 NIN spot, but really, who cares at this point?
I was at the Pimps of Joytime/Vulfpeck/Karl Denson night show at Jazz Fest this year and people came over from the Saenger across the street where Smashing Pumpkins were playing, abandoning that show because they said it was so bad.

That was an acoustic show and tickets were like $70. I bet the only reason it actually sold well was because Pearl Jam headlined the fest that day.
Saturday: Beck 8:15-9:30 > Arcade Fire 10:30-12:30
Sunday: The Avett Brothers 7-8 > Neil Young 9-11:30
completely unrealistic, these acts are actually good
How is this unrealistic? 3 headliner bands that easily can headline and look appropriate listed 1-2-3 with three sub-headliner acts that would likely be listed 4-6 on a Roo lineup.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

There's no way they do a top 6 without EDM in it after this past year. Kygo, major lazer, or jack u is taking a spot.

Or Flume or Disclosure (if they can figure something out with their fest thing)
..In 2014 on one of the best and most conflicted late nights I've seen at Roo. There's a crazy amount of hype over him among the 18-25 crowd right now I'd expect him the be on the second line at the least.
I doubt Frank Ocean would be any lower than 7, more likely 5 or 6. He was 9 in 2014 and if the album is dropping on Friday, that means 5 months of hype and likely acclaim before Roo releases the lineup.
Drake - Arcade Fire - Gorillaz - Smashing Pumpkins - Chance The Rapper - Frank Ocean - Major Lazer hopefully a Frank booking would stop a weaknd headlining set
I feel like people have pretty much already stopped caring about the Weeknd. Drake would be a better and much more sensible get for any festival now, especially if they already had Frank in the top 6.
They were the first band I really fell in love with, and I've never seen them, so if they were on the lineup I'd check out their show for the 10 year old me. But I certainly won't be hoping for them. To be fair, though, it'd be a pretty unique get if Roo was the only fest that got them. Lolla seems much more up their alley though
