Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
If Gambino is there this year and is in the top five, I'm going to presume the rest of the lineup has some serious issues and Bonnaroo will tank for a second year in a row.
I have a feeling they'll wait until 2018. Looking back they haven't booked an artist in the top 10 twice in three years since the early days.
On other note, have another mock Inforoo, because there aren't enough.
Rihanna • Arcade Fire • Kings of Leon Frank Ocean • The Shins • Lorde • Major Lazer • Chance the Rapper Queens of the Stone Age • Ryan Adams • Flume • Dispatch • James Blake FKA Twigs • Schoolboy Q • Grizzly Bear • The Avalanches • Sturgill Simpson The Head and the Heart • Run the Jewels
Then throw in a handful of these: Jim James Pond Angel Olsen Anderson .Paak Sylvan Esso A$AP Ferg Margo Price Car Seat Headrest George Clinton The Districts Flying Lotus Japandroids Phosphorescent
I honestly wouldn't mind if they focused on earlier material. Think they'd book Green Day over KoL? I don't think they will have both. Old white act/ pop or Arcade Fire or Gorillaz/ KoL or Green Day makes a lot of sense to me.

personal thoughts on your mock is I just don't see them not having an older Sunday closer. Also I would honestly prefer Gambino to Drake or Future as the top hip hop act.
I just saw the Green Day dates. Think that points more to Firefly than Roo
Are we talking about these? I see what you are saying with Firefly being the weekend before the Europe dates, but they could easily hit any number of spring/early summer festivals with these dates, including Bonnaroo. Seems doubtful they would hit nothing between February 8th and June 23rd, but that is possible too.
I don't want Green Day to be a Bonnaroo headliner, but unfortunately I could think of many even less interesting acts that could headline Bonnaroo. So as a "I guess I'll check them out" headliner I'd be OK with them.

whats up with playing those smaller venues though? i saw cage the elephant at the starland ballroom in 2014 when they were 9th line on the roo lineup. are green day just trying to do the "hey we're big but were gonna play smaller venues because were still young and hip" thing or are they actually not really relevant enough to be top 3 anymore?

they are still top 3. They just want to do club shows

They're just building a little buzz in advance of headlining every festival in Europe and North America next year.

This seems to me to be a tour to support the new album so I don't know how much of the old stuff you'll hear outside of a medley of things (that they've done in the past). Would Green Day cost a lot of money compared to standard headliners? They do definitely smell like a Firefly festival type act. Something makes me thing Hangout too.

I'd be shocked if they booked Green Day (they're an odd fit for a festival like Bonnaroo, and I doubt there would be mutual interest), but I really wouldn't mind them as a #3 headliner. They could do worse for headliners well past their prime.
If I were to guess Festivals Probably: Hangout Firefly Lolla ACL Life is Beautiful Maybe: OSL Riot Fest Voodoo Forecastle Panorama Shakey Knees Probably not: Okeechobee Gov Ball Coachella Bonnaroo

What makes you think they would be more likely to play Panorama than Okeechobee or Gov Ball? Just look at this year's headliners.

If they're playing any fest in Chicago, it would be Riot. This new album seems to be less mainstream than their other work with this new song they released. Sounds like punk rock with no pop in sight.

I don't really have a basis for any of this. I just figured Panorama would have more pull cause they are most def playing hangout and Firefly. But maybe Gov Ball gets them. I don't see Okee going for them but it's very possible too.
Honestly, that would be a smart booking on Firefly's part. They would probably be a huge draw given the Firefly demographic. Heck, people were thrilled about Blink-182 playing this year.

it's true. A bunch of girls I know picked Firefly over Roo this year cause of KoL and Blink. They disappoint me.

Yup, that was the first thing that came to my mind, how excited people were for Blink last year.
You guys think Nicki Minaj will ever play fests? Where would she be booked? 3rd? No way lower than 6th. I'm not saying she will play Roo. I'm just making convo.
I really don't see it happening. At least not the multigenre fests. I could surely see her doing smaller hip hop fests. But, that being said, I would've never guessed Lil Wayne was gonna play roo in 2011
