Man, Texas A&M had one job...One Job!! And they blew it! @davemaynar I'm counting on you to pull this one out next week...
not too thrilled with the season hanging on tennessee and arkansas.
oh well nick chubb
I don't blame you. It's amazing how quickly people have lost all perspective since Dobbs started the last two games. People here seem convinced that we will win out and have forgotten that Missouri is a good team.
They're saying Rich Rod isn't a candidate. But then again they are saying Stoops is and I can't think of one good reason Stoops would go to Florida, especially while Texas is down.

Who is they? Florida? Rich Rod makes too much sense for him to at least not be in the conversation. Coaching searches are the worst. It's all denials and smoke screens.

ESPN is reporting that neither Dan Mullen or Rich Rodriguez will be considered. It kind of looks like the Florida AD just really hates Greg Byrne hires

Gotcha. I know Dan Mullen and Bob Stoops had already stated explicitly that they have zero interest in the job.

Hell even Gary Patterson seems unlikely to me. He has been there for a long time and probably has his most talented team yet this year. Now that they are in the Big-12 there is no reason to think he cant reach the playoff there.

Bovada odds released. I think they're crazy for putting Gundy as the favorite. He has a history of feigning interest for other jobs in order to get a raise at Ok St, his alma mater. I didn't even think about the guy from CSU, but I do remember them talking him up on ESPN this past weekend. Mike Gundy is the betting favorite to replace Will Muschamp at Florida

They'd be retarded not to be interested in Mullen.
So I just noticed the Beavers beat Arizona State. That's a surprise, I thought losing out was destined.
Utah was a winnable game, and losing to Wazzu (without Halladay) hurts. Anything's possible, but going to Seattle and then playing the Ducks - tough challenge ahead to get into the Who Gives a Shit Bowl.
I know it was against Kentucky, but today was great. Tennessee had that game in hand for basically the entire thing. Also, this happened (attn: Lawn Gnome and snowmanomura)
im in DC for a work conference, and was lucky enough to find an alumni bar here. Best game ive watched all season.

I was pretty stoked about that win cause it brought UCLA back into Pac 12 South title contention.
It's pretty remarkable that it's even a discussion. When the conference expansion happened and they created the divisions many, including myself, thought that the North would be constantly dominant. An alternate alignment with The California schools staying together with the Arizonas and the new schools with the NW schools was preferred by some.
Between the reemergence of USC, Utah proving it can compete at a high level in a major conference, and the huge success of all 3 coaching hires after the 2011 season, the South is looking like it's building some staying power
I think between the Arizona schools keep improving, and if Stanford and Washington get back to where they've been before, the Pac-12 has the potential to be incredible
Well it's one of those things that you can't really prove. I'm just not buying them being that good. We'll know more after the bowls/playoffs.
I'm not asking for stats or anything. I don't know how good the division is, but I can't think of another that beats them out right now aside from the obvious #1. I just think you should be able to name a #2 if you're going to reject bacon's statement out of hand.

Name a team outside of the Pac 12 that those teams have beat, other than ND? There are plenty of other good divisions that have good teams that beat each other up and play tougher ooc games. USC is at the top of that division and they lost to BC.

Name one division that is better. You also can't ignore that the 5th (of 6) place team in the division is 7-3. Also, I appreciate that you say the Pac-12 at large and not the division bc apparently beating Oregon means dick.

Their records are all that good because their ooc schedules are so easy and because the bottom of that league is terrible. I'm not sure if I can name a clear #2 division but either of the Big 10 divisions, SEC East, ACC Atlantic would give that Pac 12 division a run head to head. Also the Big 12, which doesn't have divisions.
