Man, that Tame Impala live disc sounds pretty great. I definitely went from being lukewarm about this year's RSD to completely stoked and worried about how much money I can spend.

The full list of releases is up at recordstoreday.com. They have them grouped by "first release" and "exclusive release" which is super helpful. Looks like I need to focus on the Scott Pilgrim game soundtrack, Chvrches - Recovery EP and Grateful Dead - Live at Hampton. The Hendrix and LCD Soundsystem live releases will be available for a while... though it may be hard to resist the LCD box set once I'm in the same room as it...

Yea, one of my problems in the past with RSD was that I'd end up spending a chunk of money on something that wasn't limited/exclusive but was just being released that day. I didn't realize some items would be able to be purchased well after actual RSD and I could have spent money on more exclusive things (then go and buy the stuff I could still get later on).

Gets me every time. I have no idea if they've published the list like that in previous years but I'm definitely going to study up before April.
I'm worried about this one being close to $200 just because it sounds like Murph put so much work into it. I think I can justify spending up to $100ish. The Wilco Kicking Television box set is usually about $80 so I hope it's similar to that.

Indianapolis has 3 GREAT record stores in a 3 mile radius of each other. I feel so fortunate to be able to spend the entire day perusing vinyl and hanging out with my son on the "Christmas in April" for all music lovers!!!
Criminal Records in Atlanta is going to have live sets from: The Whigs 10th Letter Methuzulah Cloud Nothings Sadistic Ritual deadCAT Kings of Prussia Spirits & the Melchizedek Mood Rings
YeAh if I had the money I could probably spend easily $500, but I don't so some of the bigger releases like the Cake and LCD Soundsystem boxsets are a pipe dream fer me. But easily enough tasty smaller jams with a few big purchases like the Jimmy Page and Black Crowes release might have to be made.

There's probably 30 things on the list I'd like to have. I think I will seriously pursue Anamanaguchi, Chvrches, Jerry Garcia, Jimi Hendrix, LCD Soundsystem and Outkast with the last two being my priority for the day.
I believe the LCD Soundsystem Box set is also being released at a later date as well and is not just a RSD14 exclusive. So that money can be spent on other things and once that fight with your girlfriend is over, you can buy this in the fall or something.
Same here. Just got into them in the past 6 months.
I used to ignore them and thought they sucked, now I regret that.
The last concert was sooooooooo good. That's what got me into concert webcasts. There had to have been 15 people at my place partying so hard to a buffering stream. Has to be owned by anyone who liked the group. I will not admit to crying during New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down.
I still remember coming home from a long evening shift at the restaurant, worsened by the thought that I missed the stream of the last LCD show just to make a fraction of my student loan bill, only to find out they were still playing. Flipped on the stream, thinking I'd be lucky to catch the last couple songs of their set, ended up watching, entranced, for over an hour. It was a beautiful moment.
Went to the record store near my work, but the line was out the door and I don't like lines/standing in the rain, so I went to another store and got the Alien Quadrilogy for TEN BUCKS and the Jenks Miller/Wooden Wand split

I hate myself today.
Went out last night. Didn't get hammered. Just a normal hang out night. Came home. Had my alarm set for a few hours before the store opens so I could go get on line. Either the alarm didn't go off or I slept through it and I was cursing up a storm when I got a text asking "Did you go to Record Store Day?".
Luckily, after two different stops I got a good amount of what I really wanted. Pissed about missing out on the live Tame Impala set and also couldn't grab the Zappa or Jerry Garcia releases cuz they were long gone. I did get most of the stuff I wanted so I'm not super pissed but I have been so on-point with RSD the past few years that I was kicking myself this morning.
Oh well. I still spent money and still got a lot of what I wanted. Will post my list soon.
Still need Django Django, Little Dragon, Notorious B.I.G., and Ray Parker Jr. Have an extra cut/copy to trade or sell at face.
I believe (but am not 100% positive) the Ray Parker Jr. one will be released later as well. Not sure about the others though. I wanted Django Django too
