Artist - Album (pitchfork score [so juggs knows whether he likes the album or not])
Is there a parable relating to one's inability to understand the concept of sarcasm or humor? Perhaps I'm just unaware of such a thing, but if I were, I'd relate it here.
Part Simon and Garfunkel and part Gillian Welch all amazing
Hmmm - saw them open twice. Once for OCMS and I can't remember the one (that one was crazy because they were co-openers with Lumineers - oh how times change). Pleasant enough, but definitely boring. I confess I have not heard their recorded material. Maybe they've evolved since I saw them or maybe they sound better on record.
On a scale of 1 to Boring, what are your thoughts on Strand of Oaks?
Strands of Oaks are a weird one for me. Their recorded material is mostly not very enjoyable with exception to Pope Kildragon. Live was a completely different story though. They put on a good show when I saw them this summer, really rocking and loose.
Yeah yeaaaaah yeah yeeeaaahaaah. I actually like Kurt Vile a lot. But I could see why people would find some of his stuff boring. If he wasn't from Philly I probably wouldn't care as much about him.

Kurt Vile wouldn't piss on the side of this barn if it were on fire. He can shred noise, folk, blues and pop in the same breathe; anything other than boring.
