Despite some speedbumps, what a great weekend it was.
Friday night was a bummer. Shortly after SCI's second set it started to rain, and it was a torrential downpour/thunderstorm by the time Big G was supposed to start. They ended up cancelling the music for the night. The main stage was flooded quite a bit. I heard word that they were setting up to have Big G go on the amphitheater stage once the weather calmed but it rained way too long and I guess it just didn't work out. I was really excited to see Big G and Conspirator though, but oh well.
Saturday was epic. Great early set from Brock Butler. Elliot lip killed it. STS9 was epic as always. But SCI really stole the show. I gotta say I went in with skepticism because I'm not a big fan of blue-grassy type stuff. I came to this festival moslty for STS9, Big G, and Conspirator, but SCI really just blew me away. They far exceeded my expectations and I left Hulaween a cheesehead. If anyone can find some recordings of their sets, particularly the Sat night sets, I cannot wait to relive them.
And I heard word they signed a 3 year contract for an annual hulaween. I'll see you all next year!

It was good to see you Laggy. Glad you had a great time despite the rain and car key issues.
As for me, I am super excited I decided go, especially after I saw my name on the quacking schedule~!!!
That is right. I was on the schedule as a Visual Artist for Spirit Lake. I made it. I did it. I put on an interactive art display at Hulaween in the Spirit Lake area. From the reactions, I think it went over pretty well. What am I talking about. It was quacking awesome! the whole Spirit Lake was amazing. BEAUTIFUL!!! I see how the Electric Forest can look so good. It is the same crew. videos and pics to come. Sorry if I come off as tooting my own horn, but I am. This is a big deal for me. This forum might play a small part in where I am today. A small little, but very important piece. So YES, I am excited. I wanted to share this with you8 all, and might have to post else where, I am stoked. I am overjoyed! and most of all, I am getting to do it again next year. That is right I was invited back and will be on the schedule again next year!
It's been a month, and it's time for a treat! Valley of the Jig > Texas, complete with super eerie Friday the 13th teases from Kyle, and a sick jam based off the Friday the 13th tune. The best 23 minutes of music from the weekend, IMO. I was so happy to have my favorites festies make the trip from the midwest and east coast, and they have officially been converted to Suwannee lovers. Can't wait until next year!
