I, too, enjoyed the new single. To me, it didn't sound terribly different from what they've done in the past (as people might've suspected considering Trent Reznor's comments about rethinking what NIN could be or whatever), but I'm not a NIN fanboy or anything so I might not have the best context.
I honest to god, and I'm not saying this out of bias, think that this video fits this song really damn well... and it actually makes me like a song that I was initially lukewarm on more. Is it like an absolute brilliant masterpiece? No.
It's a lot like Lynch's other shorts and early films, I do think, though. In terms of tone and style, so there should be no surprise how this video turned out.
It's doesn't. I'm just stating my opinion, and really curious as to why people are surprised by this. That's Lynch for you, especially short form Lynch.
yea, I'm not arguing with you, just saying I really don't care. as far as the song goes, it's on line with most recent NIN. it's ok, nothing special. they're one of those bands that I like because of what they use to be and because they still put on great live shows.

"Nine Inch Nails' first comeback appearance will be at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan tomorrow. As the NIN Hotline points out, their set will be streamed live on YouTube. It will start at 9:30 pm Japan time (8:30 a.m. eastern)."
So is this 8:30am Friday or 8:30am Saturday?
Edit: I think it means Friday since they are ahead of us. Guess what i'll be doing tomorrow morning instead of work? Early morning workin' ftmfw!
They buried the lead. This should help get through my last workday before a vacation tomorrow morning:
