As a giants fan i do love eli, but it is at a point now where i'm sitting here thinking. If he were any other QB, not a 2 time Super Bowl MVP he would be benched for these mistakes. I mean we're already eclipsed our giveaways from last year and we are 6 weeks in to the season. I know we won't bench him or anything, but it makes me think that maybe we should be preparing for the future in this up coming draft with all the QB talent that is in the draft class. I do hope he gets out of this slump because it is absolutely BRUTAL to watch this happen. I know not all these turnovers are his fault but god damn, it just looks disgusting every week.

Out of qualifying candidates, only two quarterbacks have a lower passer rating this season than Eli. One is currently a free agent. The other plays for the Jaguars. Ouch. Also, he has 6 more INTs than any other QB this season.
Oddly enough, Romo is #2 in QB rating. I thought he was terrible or something according to people.
For those that don't know, the NFL Owners mandated that the NFL gets to decide one team per year to do Hard Knocks and no teams are above being picked. The coaches are quite pleased. Obviously.

It's not that he's terrible. That's the frustrating part. It's the mistakes he makes in key moments that drive us Romo-haters crazy. I don't believe in his abilities during 2 minute drill situations anymore than he does.

Criticizing his two minute drill skills is totally legitimate, but it seems like people are going overboard with this season attacking his entire game when he doesn't f*ck up any worse than any other QB (and a lot less than some this season). He just chooses the worst time to do it.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
Romo is just so capable of being great (why it's SO frustrating). Statistically, the most productive QB in Cowboys history. The guy makes some plays every game and I'm like, "ok, here we go. he's gonna make me eat my words". But he's a habitual choke artist and I dunno if he'll ever overcome it. You just get the feeling that the guy is gonna fail late in the game. This has been my problem with Romo since year 1. Or at least since that notable fumble during the Cowboy/Seahawk playoff game a few years back.
I suppose this shouldn't be a surprise given some of the feelings that have been shared about Schaub in this thread, but man that seems terrible. The guy is already at rock bottom but why not kick him while he's down, and with an injury no less? You have to be a real special player to have a home field disadvantage like that.
At least the pick six streak is still in tact for Houston. TJ Yates has begun his reign in style.
I could name quite a few instances of BS officiating, but here is a nice picture of Tom Brady throwing the winning touchdown. (I'm not sure what the point of the circle in the gif. Pretend that it is circling the missed holding call)

I'm sure there were some fans that cheered for the Schaub injury, which is classless. But I think most of the fans were cheering more for a change at the position. It was just coincidence that he happen to get injured on that play.
After yesterdays game I think I'll be competing with Jimmyroos team for a high draft. The sooner I deal with it the easier it'll be.

Its not a coincidence. Wanting a change in position is one thing, but human decency should prevail and you can hold your cheers until TJ Yates comes into the huddle. Not while Schaub is on the ground agonizing and holding his leg.

Solder usually sucks.
And nice to see the Saints haven't learned much from their headhunting scandal not too long ago. How many helmet-to-helmet plays were there in that game?

If you take away the Bengals game, Solder is having a great year.
The Pats O Line lost Dan Connolly early yesterday and had to replace him with Marcus Cannon. Usually they just sub him in when they need someone fresh. Solid overall performance from the Pats O Line when you consider they lost that ability. Saints D has some badder dudes up front than I realized.
Back to Solder, I like him because he's added a little edge to his game. Could be a result of all those snaps next to Logan Mankins.
Under the headline "Philip Rivers Is An Intense Weirdo":
Hahaha. They really need to mic him up for a game. I dunno if it's common knowledge, but I've heard multiple sources say he doesn't cuss, ever. I want to know what the heck he's saying when he's freaking out and yelling all over the place.
