Have you all really forgotten that the hip-hop album of the year came out in October? Or are you all just a bunch of Charmin soft faux-hipsters that you need to vote for a sub-par Arcade Fire album or some meandering bleep bloops?
For what it's worth, King Push is #2 for me. Those bleep bloops just really got to me.
This was a good month for quality releases, but the combination of realized potential and a great album make it impossible for me not to give Push the nod. This is a fantastic hip-hop album and was well worth the multiple delays, which is very rare.

I'm actually right there with you. 1. Pusha T | My Name Is My Name 2. Darkside | Psychic 3. Tim Hecker | Virgins
2. Tim Hecker- Virgins 3. Darkside- Psychic 4. Laurel Halo- Chance of Rain 4. Oneohtrix Point Never- R Plus 7 5. Arcade Fire- Reflektor
Best month of the year.
For me, October is just behind May. Daft Punk, Vampire Weekend, Deerhunter, Laura Marling, Mikal Cronin, The National, Savages, Mount Kimbie. Kinda tough to top that. June was pretty strong as well!
I think it's usually the Tuesday after the month ends, so everyone can have a solid week to listen to whatever releases came out on the last Tuesday of the month. This would be November 5th for this month. I know I need it because I need to give Reflektor another solid listen before I can vote with confidence.
Just to be different, going to give these guys a little credit. I thought this is their best record, and that they showed a good bit of improvement with this one.
Can we start talking about November yet? Between Avril Lavigne and Celine Dion, I just don't know aboot what I'm gonna do eh!?!
No way, Scott Stapp will take the month.
Is he Canadian? If not, I'm gonna have no time to listen to it this month. Our most prized Canadians have new releases, and it's my duty to devote all my time to unlock their brilliance. Eminems new album won't be released in canada until 2014 for that reason ALONE!
