Not crazy at all considering the guy who puts this on used to work for Superfly. I would keep an eye on this fest as far Bonnaroo goes since this is a week before roo. I am sure there will be overlaps between the two.

A week before Roo, huh? I have a wedding that Saturday in Long Island. I wonder if I can manage a day ticket or two since I'll already be there...
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
They announced this morning that the fest is expanding to 3 days. 70 acts, no conflicts... Crazy how this is turning into NYCs premiere music fest.
70 acts over 3 days and there are no conflicts? Does everyone play half an hour?
If memory serves, some acts play short sets (like 30-45 minutes) with bigger acts going an hour or 90 minutes (headliners, I think). I've actually been impressed with how well they've been run, with one band starting almost immediately after the other finishes. Picture the What field with another stage at the back, and you just kind of wander from end to end for shows. You're never out of earshot.

I can't see where it says this year will also have no overlapping sets... am I just missing it?
I know it's what they have done in the past, but they also are advertising there will be more stages this year. Additional stages would be completely pointless if there are no overlapping sets, so, feel like that's changing this year.

This is the same weekend as Mountain Jam? That makes no sense.
I'm sure both will sell just fine. I've never done a Govs Ball, but I'm assuming the crowd is way different than MJ with it's families and older generation folk.

First lineup clue just dropped. It's a picture if a tree with money for leaves and they said its a clue representing two artists on the bill... Kendrick Lamar and possibly a Cage The Elephant return?

Last year I was a prefestival volunteer.. I set up the VIP area on Thursday and Friday and then got in for free both Saturday and Sunday.. I'm hoping that's an option again.
