Okay, so I've seen Big Lebowski but it's been a while and I still didn't get the reference. Clearly I need to view it again. what particular themes or leitmotifs should I be paying attention to?
You could watch the video posted a page or so ago, that'd help.
Long story short, in the scene where Walter trashes (what he thinks is) that kid Larry's car, he yells out repeatedly "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU F*CK A STRANGER IN THE ASS!" Obviously you can't say that on television, so in the censored broadcasts on AMC and TNT and whatever else, that line is changed to "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FIND A STRANGER IN THE ALPS," which makes no goddanged sense and is hilarious.
OMG they do the same thing to The Usual Suspects and we laugh just use it as a phrase in our house. The scene where they're all lined up and told to read a sentence off a card. In the unedited version the line is “Give me the keys you f*cking peinerpuffer,”
in the broadcast version the line becomes “Give me the keys you Fairy Godmother" We laugh our donkeys off!
In that case, you might not be up to date with my favorite Kanye West videos. Let me begin from the top ....
I'm just curious what this week's epic tables, ladders and chairs match-style throwdown is going to be about.
Well, the first skirmish is going to involve the clueless multitudes reposting 10000x the various "confirmations" from random publications of Daft Punk at Coachella based off that Songkick bullsh*t. It's already begun, actually.

I feel like the easiest way to identify people who have the potential to be quality posters is through the avatar. Anyone who uses one of the "stock" avatars (Johnny Depp in the gas mask from "Fear and Loathing," Silent Bob, dude who looks like the Mars Volta with the fro playing guitar, etc.) generally turns out to be terrible. Please note: generally. So I'm not talking about you. Unless I am.
