Definitely the best episode of the season, maybe even of the entire series. I started getting suspicious when Thredson had Kit confess to the crimes on recording, but the Bloodyface part caught me by surprise. I think he and Arden and the Monsignor are all conspiring to bring Sister Jude down, which they succeeded in doing.
I'm curious to see what direction they go with the Aliens still, I wonder if they will somehow connect the aliens with Arden and the Nazis (just speculating off of all the conspiracy theories that exist concerning the two). Interesting to note that they kept zooming in on Arden's cane, which was a dog. Hitler loved dogs and the Nazis did many experiments with them.
Latest episode kind of slacked off a little. Though I did really like the scene with the Nun telling the little girl that she was a devil. Probably the only real highlight. The rest was pretty bland. Hopefully it will pick back up this week.

Did you notice the voice of the present day Bloody Face? i was wondering how he was going to get worked into the story. so excited, and it's supposed to only get darker and more twisted from here.
did anyone else think of the suicide scene with the daughter where they made it look like she didn't but she did? it'd be kind of lazy to do it to seasons in a row, but you never know.
Also, was it bad that, as soon as I saw Ethan from Lost was the guy picking the reporter up when she escaped, I knew things were getting ready to go terribly wrong? I am sad the one girl died at the end but am super excited to see how one of Arden's monsters getting found will play out.
P.S. I am terrible with character names on this show.
I feel like the most recent episode has been the most polarizing. I personally loved it. It's awesome how dark it's gotten. There were some cheesy moments (Grace taking the bullet, the angel of death) but for the most part I thought it was awesome. I wonder what Thredson is going to do with the Salvia he was messing with. And it's cool they finally did something with his monsters. Ethan cameo was awesome.
Dave that is an interesting thought, but I agree with it being too lazy to do again. At least I hope they aren't that lazy.
Next episode looks a little silly, but it should be a nice light break from what all happened this week.

So I start the debate with myself as to if I want to go through the trouble of kicking the kids out of the living room to watch tonight or if I would just watch it tomorrow. As it turns out, AHS is on a break until next month. That made that decision easy.
What the hell, we don't get another episode until Jan 2nd. There's nothing to watch now. I think I'm going to do a rewatch of The Wire and The Sopranos. I haven't seen either since they aired.
The last three or so minutes of the episode. When she tells Dylan McDermott that, he isn't violent because of his father, he is violent because of her. Then it has her talking to Sister Jude about staring into the face of evil and Lana smiles back at her.

Just tell me if Cromwell dies so I know whether I can watch it or not. PM me if it's a spoiler.

I just took that to mean her actions, ie her persistence to pursue her story, which lead to her encounters with Thredson. And then choosing not to raise her son. Thus accepting responsibility. I'm pretty sure it was physically impossible for her to be Bloody Face.

Good counterpoint, approo. I will have to rewatch it soon. I think there were so many leaps of logic during the season that I automatically made one at the end.

I read somewhere that this season, while focusing on the cruelties done between people would serve the main purpose of pointing out the hauntings and evils within the individual, which would explain, to a degree, the evil Lana found in herself, which lead to her being indirectly responsible for a lot of the horror.
Unrelated, Jessica Lang is incredible, and doesn't get enough credit for how dynamic she is.

I need to think on that ending a little more. I enjoyed the season, but it seemed to be all over the place. Satan, a Nazi, a serial killer, aliens, mutants, etc. etc. etc. For that reason, I agree with the focus remark.

Yea that was my one complaint about this season. It was all over the place with story lines. Which contrasted drastically with the first season, which essentially focused on the haunted house, with a few story lines intertwined in the house itself.
I was intrigued by most all the story lines in this season, but it was a lot to keep up with.

I just watched season two, or Asylum, a couple of weeks back and I thought it was phenomenal! Like, I would say that it is one of the best single seasons of series that I have ever watched. The second half in particular had some resally impressive stylistic work which just took the other great elements of the program to another level.
