There has only been one non jam-band (im including Dave as a jam band) to repeat headline in modern roo era (when it made the change from exclusive jam to mainstream). This had been Radiohead. When I think "who will play the roo this year" I always, like most, consider who has played in prior years. You cant bring some headliners back within a certain time frame, im not sure what that is buts it seems like a large tim period. Radiohead headlines in 06, returns in 2012. 6 years. My point is, sorry it took so long, is it really time for Tom Petty to come back? Does the roo need two Petty headliner shows. I need a splash on this years lineup. Macca will be great, an encore with just paul and an acoustic playing yesterday under the roo lights is worth the ticket price. Mumford, although they are solid, dont give me that feeling like im going to see a trancendent show right now (ala radiohead, pearljam, stevie, arcadefire ect. Who is going to take this year over the top, besides Macca, where is the greatness going to come from?
Radiohead, prince, muse, chili peppers, etc...and they are lucky if they get 1 mill, but they normally only get 500 k
then you have third tier : snoop, dre, J z...they get 100 k
then you have 4th tier : black keys, munford byoncee, Prince etcc: they get 50k
