All super-group headliners. Atoms For Peace on Friday, Them Crooked Vultures on Saturday, and the first headlining Superjam: Unchained/Who's Bad?/Queen Extravaganza "mashing up" their hero's songs by playing them at the same time.
5/4 The Breeders
5/19 Titus Andronicus (?)
6/5 Tomahawk w/ Buke and Gase
6/8 Screaming Females
6/20 Billy Idol w/ Cat Power
6/29 Naked Raygun
7/12 Belle & Sebastian w/Yo La Tengo
7/13 Phish or Savages
7/14 Phish or Wire
John Frusciante? The RHCP guitarist? By himself? As a preheadliner?
To be honest I kinda just threw it out there. I'm sure he could give a good draw and his music is pretty good in my opinion. I think he would have a band or a group of some sort backing him up and I'm not sure if he has an album coming out or not.
I hope after these last 2 years we can start getting "classic" headliners again. Something like Prince, Rolling Stones, Macca, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Elton John and not something like the Eagles, U2, or the Who

This is both a wish list item for me and a practical guess:
No Doubt
New single comes out next month and album to follow. No Doubt can easily draw a crowd of 15-20k, so I definitely think if they are at Roo they will be in some capacity a headliner. (If not on the What Stage, at least Which Stage unopposed.)
edit: and if and when that happens, I can't wait to hear them play "Different People" that to me is the perfect Roo theme song. "so many different people... so many different kinds... with different ways..."

how are the who not classic? What defines classic? The Who and U2 would be excellent headliners
They definitely need to bring Adele back - don't know if she would be headliner or pre-headliner though. I wandered into the tent the year she was playing not knowing a thing about her & was totally blown away. The next thing you knew she blew the F up!
I'm totally on board for the Adele 2013 campaign! (My vote is for a pre-headliner set though) Maybe Adele-->The Rolling Stones!
was skrilelx considered a success this year? my friends who went all hated it. Im scared of the inevitability of Skrillex headlining, its like the bonnaroo version of winter in game of thrones
Are there more than four people who can headline Sunday? Im pretty sure we know 1/4 headliners will be WSP, Furthur, DMB, or Phish. Has anyone who is not a member of those bands ever headlined sunday?

damn, really? that is interesting, I didn't realize the sunday jamband headliner thing was so ingrained.
I'd be fine with Phish every year, but next year Dave or Furthur (assuming Lesh hasn't given up touring) would be the most logical.
not sure if trey would ever do this again but a big Dave and Trey and Friends show would be pretty awesome. I'm not really a Dave fan but I enjoyed this show in 04.

First off I love the jam headliners. However, your point is spot on. At some point Bonnaroo will start oversaturating Sunday nights with the same bands.
In terms of next year, anyone think this will MMJ's year to close it out?
