I think we got here at the perfect time. There's like 20 people ahead of us and about 30 people showed within 10 minutes of us being here. If they only have 50 tickets to sell we should be good if they limit it to 1 per person.

Damn, already? Guess it's time to head down there myself.

That was a hassle, but I guess it was worth it for saving $160+ on the ticket. 3 gotdamn lines...voucher 1, voucher 2, final voucher to pick up ticket there within 30 days of fest. They were just trying to keep people in there to buy food and dranks. We didn't get out of there until 2pm.

Same here...almost 3 before I got to buy mine. I got all the way through the lines and was 2 people back from paying when they called my name for the raffle. After a successful match of "Frozen Tshirt" I was able to get another voucher so a friend who showed up late could get a ticket too. Definitely worth the hassle, but a bit excessive.
Long story short: lots of people, not enough tickets to go around, I spent an enjoyable day at the Hangout and ended up with the last ticket around 5 pm
Also, an older guy in line told me he knew who was playing next year: Phish, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Muse, Mumford and Sons. Don't take that as fact, but just as talk coming from an older local who seemed to know a few people running the ticket handling at Hangout today.

I was telling Caddy today that I was willing to bet that we're getting Muse, Mumford, and Phish. And that we can only hope that Mumford is second tier and we get another headliner. Petty would be perfect for the third headliner.

The would be a serious departure from the level of past Hangout headliners. I could easily see 2 of 4 of those bands but no way all 4. In my mind Muse is too big for Hangout (mostly production wise) but I could be wrong.

I would normally dismiss this as crap but it seemed like he knew people and there is no way this guy knew who Muse was. Kind of an odd name to just pull out of the air. We will see in a few months. I would be happy with those 4.

Just by looking at Muse's tour dates, it's pretty obvious that we're getting Muse. No other southeast dates besides FL and there's a nice gap at the end of the US tour and hangout is just before they head to the UK. I see them playing Friday so that they have plenty of time to prep their uber-stage set-up on thursday. I am perfectly fine with it as long as they're not at Voodoo too. I've never seen them and their music doesn't piss me off as much as DMB so I guess it's a win as long as Phish and Petty are the other two headliners. Mumford is a great second tier act and I could see them playing on the opposite stage (Chevy, if they call it that again) just before Petty closes her out on sundey.

Muse is def way better than DMB!!
I made it through the whole Muse show at Voodoo. Never made it more than 30 mins at Dave. Should bailed at Voodoo but I forgot there was a Galactic w/ Anders set going on. *{facepalm}*

I agree with this 100%. I was telling Jones Jupiter the same thing a few weeks ago.

I would be thrilled with this lineup. The best possible festival band (and jamband slot band), a great classic headliner, a great rock act with a ridiculous stage show, and a nice slice of Americana, via the UK.
though Mumford not a top 3 at hangout bodes poorly for my bet with Phi.
