Hey new to this forum but Widespread Ted is rightish.... A lot of stuff is starting to get said down here at Gulf but you don't know what is true/false so I understand him not saying antthing you don't want to look like a fool but I'm going ahead and saying it Mumford is a headliner. Everything else you hear down hear could be true of could be a pile of dump but it is going to be announced soon.
A couple pages back a mobilefan or whatever said that Hangout did not get Mumford.

And that dude is probably full of shiz or is just relying on old information from a friend of a friend. He's probably right that an initial offer was turned down, but to me they seem like the one band this fest wants the most. Caddyshaq heard Mumford was a lock from a legitimate source that confirmed headliners last years.

Well like I said a lot of BS is getting thrown around I mean imagine if everyone talking about it on all the forums were in the same 15mile radius and constantly hearing something I mean I can go to the gas station without hear someone say So&so is headlining this years Hangout Festival.... but until it comes out I'm sticking to my guns Mumfords coming
I have faith in the guys plus the beach is an incredible trump card, but IF WSP and Mumfbleh are top acts I will be dreadfully disappointed. Obviously a huge number of folks would enjoy them immensely, but I couldn't guess the last time I proactively chose to listen to either. MHO.
Edit: Staring at the silver lining... Here's to the undercard if so.

Jesus people how many times has it been said, You DONT go to a festival for the headliners. ESP s quacking beach party!?!? I don't rage to dave or jack white but I bought a ticket and had a blast! If we get panic & mum ill be there again...hell ill be there again if we don't get em. Some of you just seem like negative nancies
How the hell does this make sense? WSP would miss out on all the revenue from their OB shows, and surely Hangout would not pay them enough to offset the loss in revenue. WSP isn't worth that price.

This makes sense. Even a desperate Hangout wouldn't make that dumb of a business decision. There are other bands.

I'd be down for WSP on the beach again. If I'm gonna get stuck with weaksauce headliners I'll feel better knowing I'm getting three days of beach partying with tons of bands for $50 when an avg WSP show costs me that.
Would rather have Furthur. They are absolutely crushing it right now. Iron Maiden and Furthur are the two best touring bands right now.

If Macca is out Tom Hetty would be the perfect headliner.
Great no frills rock n roll show that will have everyone moving, and I would imagine the vast majority of people that would be at Hangout haven't seen Tom Hetty before.
Tom Hetty sitting in with WSP for Travellin' Light........would be very Hetty.

Hard to believe panic is just now getting mentioned.
No orange each run lead me to believe they'd be there.
I don't think Jazzfest does proximity clauses, because that's not the biggest draw to Jazzfest. JF would do fine without them.
Been waiting patienty for this lineup to drop, but honestly am getting tired of waiting. I'm going regardless, I just want to know who I am going to see this may.

It would be even hettier if traveling light was a Tom petty song.
I think it will sell out either way. But that 3rd headliner (assuming Mumford and WSP are the others) has to be pretty important.
Totally disagree.
I know folks on this board really dislike Mumford, but there aren't many acts bigger than them these days. They're certainly a bigger draw than Jack and probably RHCP. Maybe even Dave. Plus, with all the Grammy pub, they've got a ton of momentum.
Plus, when the beach is your BACKUP plan, it's not too hard to get up for this fest. It'll sell out fast just like last year.
Flame away, but is it possible Widespread could be there and not be a headliner? Maybe give them a 2 set spot closing the 2nd stage like SCI last year.

I agree that Mumford is a big deal right now. And I personally have no problem with them. They wouldn't be my first choice, but I enjoyed them the one time I saw them at Bonnaroo 2011. I just mean the 3rd headliner was important to me as far as my personal perception of the fest.
