Who remembers from last year: did they make an announcement day before that the lineup was coming?
EDIT: George Clinton and P. Funkadelic are playing May 5 in NOLA, then have a break until June 21. Since the FLips are probably not going to be there this year, I could see George take their place as the super weird, theatrical trippy set. eh?
Yeah, they told us within 24 hours before that they were going to release spults of artists at a time at midnight. I doubt they do that again. Bayfest did it last year, so it's not cool anymore. Release it all at once like every other festival run by people with opposable thumbs.
Hail satan! No postal service 05-18 Manchester, England - Academy 2 05-20 London, England - Brixton Academy 05-21 Paris, France - Trianon
P Funk in 2013 in no way deserve a subheadliner spot!! George is cracked out and can't keep it together and Diaperman is dead. One of the other main guys died too recently.
P Funk would be cool for the Thurs pre party though.

I caught George Clinton and P-Funk a little less than a year ago for free in my town. Don't expect anything super weird, trippy, or theatrical. It's just funky. George has seen better days and really doesn't do much of anything on stage, but his band is still tight. Their shows are really nothing special these days though.

Damn thats sad. All Good a few years back was super weird. Well, I'm catching him at Sweetwater Fest, so if he IS at Hangout at least I'll be able to decide if its worth it or not.
Also, theres this fest in ATL "Shaky Knees" well, my friend knows the guy putting it on and thats not really important- its May 4/5 and Edward Sharpe is headlining, so I don't know where that puts them as a possible repeat or not, just throwing it out there.
Edward Sharpe headlining ....wow that fest is prob gonna suck!! What a garbage band. The kids will eat it up though. Longinus and I were literally L-O-Ling at them at the close of FFF7 last year. So bad. They played right after The Black Angels too...
Actually it was Black Angels > Explosions in the Sky > Edward Sharpe. We went to go check out De La Soul and Fvcked Up instead of Explosions which was an excellent idea because what little bit we saw of both ruled. Then Turbonegro started and we could only make it through like 2-3 songs before we had to get out of there because it was so horrible and then we saw Edward Sharpe's tomfoolery. Worst festival closers ever...really the only negative thing I have to say about FFF7.
They need people for the kids stage. That's where they'll be
Been thinking about solid rocks post. Dudes got a point. I think it's time to count muse out. They're gonna take that month to rest and be with family, that's their only sizable break until August. They're not gonna put logistics to Europe to 2 days.
All kids should be left at their grandparents during Hangout. Plenty of illegitimate children will be made during the weekend anyways.

Nothing to announce yet Chavez....but soon...And to those getting upset, remember they don't withhold the lineup to torment people...merely to ensure all i's are dotted and t's are crossed....when you have tons off different bands, management, etc all wanting/needing to announce dates per their own interests, it gets to be maddening....
Ultra and Electric Forrest don't matter. In fact, it's highly likely that everyone of the big EDM acts we get will be also playing Ultra. I think our three big EDM gets will be something like AVICII, Steve Aoki, and Afrojack. And Assnectar will be doing the thursday pre-party.

Saw Afrojack in Vegas, had a great time, no complaints if he's an EDM tent headliner.
I know there's more to Avicii than Levels, but there won't be to most of the Hangout crowd. That's going to be a letdown, a packed tent of people waiting 60-90 minutes waiting to hear Eta James.
With a new(ish) album, I think deadmau5 is still a good fit for one of Hangout's big three EDM acts for 2013.
So as far as the big 3 EDM gets, I'll say something like Bassnectar-Aoki-deadmau5 or Tiesto-Aoki-Calvin Harris
A Diplo Thursday pre-party would be fun
Other EDM acts I'll guess heading to Gulf Shores: 3LAU, Carnage, Knife Party, Porter Robinson, Krewella
