Sounds like y'all need a testosterone break.
On another note, there's still the possibility it's Prince, who wasn't listed in the previous post about upcoming tour announcements. He's different enough from the other headliners to make sense and big enough to keep Hangout's mouth shut until he announces.
Yea I read the sarcasm, I'm not stupid. I just like arguing with Jugs.
4200 posts in less than a year. Sweet lyfe, cheesedick!
Yes, I know. Virgin, basement-dwelling, blahblahblah.
I sit a computer 3/5 days a work week, it isn't all that difficult to rack up posts in the offseason. If I had been in here more often I'd easily be over 5,000.
Hey folks, you may want to avoid going to the Prince message board (I think it's prince.org) I just went there to see if he was playing any festivals this year and it bogged my brand new mac down to nuthin. Could've been something else I suppose, but I wanted to warn you...even you cheesepiece.

i can tell you this : it won't be mccartney or mumford & sons. the roo has an exclusivity clause with those bands. and hangout never had a chance with paul. and it won't be prince. i wouldn't set your hopes too high.

You are correct that it won't be Paul. However, how would you know about an exclusivity clause for Mumford & Sons? What are the parameters of this exclusivity clause? Why isn't it preventing Mumford & Sons from headlining Sasquatch? Why doesn't Tom Petty have the same exclusivity clause?

I think the exclusivity clauses may vary by festival. Bonnaroo's clause says a band can't play within a 300 mile radius of the farm for 60 days before and 60 days after Bonnaroo. Gulf Shores is definitely more than 300 miles from Manchester. So I wouldn't see any problem for any band to play both Hangout & Bonnaroo.

Sure, but I think you are referring to a radius clause rather than an exclusivity clause. Either way, it seems like Bonnaroo shares at least one headliner with Hangout every year, so I don't see any reason why Mumford & Sons would be a special case.

The guy earlier seemed like he knew what he was talking about and it seemed like too random to make up. I think tomorrow we'll be seeing Mumford announced along with other artists, with a LN announcement a few weeks down the road. And now i'm leaving this thread until tomorrow morning.

I can make a lot of shit sound plausible too. You hear about phish's run on the moon?

It would be torture, but I think it could be kinda cool (definitely make some waves in the fest scene) if the blur stayed up there until Sunday of the fest and they finally put a completed lineup up at the center spot where the schedule is on the boardwalk. A surprise headliner. Would be worth it if it ended up being something impossibly epic like Led Zeppelin or a Pink Floyd one time reunion show. (yes, before y'all tear this post into shreds and question my sanity, I do realize that none of this would ever happen)
However, it would be the most memorable festival moment of your life.

Anyone else think the 3rd headliner is actually the first billed i.e. bigger than Petty I dont really know what to think its either BIG or bust I think they would swing for the fences and try to take a step forward in the HMF 4th year if not at least try and put on a fest as good as HMF 2012. I just cant see them settling for a weak headliner (anyone smaller then KOL) I can see them holding out as long as it takes to get someone good but thats my opinion I hope that one dude is right about tomorrow at noon.

Nope. Someone of equal to lesser caliber of petty/kol, but that depends on opinion. I think Trey is better than KOL, I think the crowes are too, but alas hangout forgot to call me when deciding the poster placement again. Bastards!
92 zew reported this morning that we should have an announcement middle of next week. Went on to say that contract negotiations are still happening.
We're so getting a premadonna fucking rapper. Who else would dick around this much and make "negotiation" so difficult than some big shot hoity toity everyone kiss my feet rap artist? (Don't get me wrong, I like some rap music)
Well, and probably Steven Tyler or Mick Jagger- but if its Aerosmith I can find out I have connections with that- (but it's not Aerosmith, and it's not the Stones)
