This will be my second year in a row at Bonnaroo and i could be more stoked. It was me and my 4 best friends first music festival and needless to say we had the time of our lives, despite being extremely underprepared Haha! We were by far the most bare bones campsite in our pod. Thanks to websites like this I can say for sure that we will be much more prepared this year.

Hi all! This is my third Roo but first since 2007. I've learned alot just lurking on the boards but thought I'd finally join the community.
We're happy to have you! Wanna give some information about yourself? Favorite music or other things you're interested in?
My wife and I hit a bunch of festivals including Roo when we first got together in 2006 and 2007. We've been hiking/backpacking a lot the last few years which hasn't left much vacation time for festivals, but we're super excited to get back on the Farm. As for music, my favorites are generally indie rock acts (White Stripes, Arcade Fire, My Morning Jacket, Spoon, The National, Modest Mouse) or Americana/rock like Ryan Adams, Wilco, Old 97s, Avett Brothers. Also a big fan of the Grateful Dead and I'm willing to admit DMB as well (I know, I know).
Well it won't let me post yet for some reason so I'll stick to reddit and see you guys react from afar
I believe once you get to ten posts the rest of the board opens up.
1 post before you can post in the Which Stage. More if you want to create a Which Stage thread. I think 40 but may be less. I'll have to check.
Every new member gets this PM when they sign up. People just don't like to read (myself included):
We are happy you have decided to join the forum. We are a music forum that is dedicated to all things Bonnaroo. You will find, however, information about many other music festivals and a variety of other topics.
------First and foremost, please read and abide by our rules that can be found here:
------Next, we have some information about your posting ability after signing up to the boards for the first time:
- New Members who sign up will be able to post/reply in any section of the board except for the Which Stage. You will be able to reply in the Which Stage section after you make your first post in a different part of the message board. For this initial post we are encouraging new members to introduce themselves here in the lurker introduction thread.
Or reply in some of the general Bonnaroo/inforoo threads like "How many roos have you been to" or "Random Thoughts". You will also be able to reply to threads in the sections that were created as searching for a ride/carpool or asking camping questions.
This was done so that new members would be able to acclimate themselves to the board and get a feel for how to post. After your first post, you will be able to reply in the Which Stage section of the board, which holds the "Music of Bonnaroo" threads.
- Creating new threads in the Which Stage will take slightly longer for new members. You will be able to create threads in other sections, if you are looking for a ride or want to talk about a TV show or play a game or something. But creating a new thread in the Which Stage will be limited to the people with at least 40 posts.
This was done to prevent multiple treads about the same subject. When you are able to create threads, you should take a look around and use the search bar to see if something like that already exists.
I'll work on making it more clear (and less words).
