Ps. On the Skrillex note. I really do not like his music at all though I am a pretty big electronic music fan (saw bassnectar 4 times last year). I will be giving him a chance at Hangout if there is no conflit just to be fair. I am sure it will be fun, though I may need some help to love it.

This is actually one of the sets I'm most excited for. I knew a lot of people who went to his show here, and they all had the time of their lives. It also sold out three and a half months in advance, so it was pretty much THE hot ticket to have, bar none. Now with him blowing up and being one of the Bamboozle headliners, he's even more of a big deal. My buddies and I are already pumped to rage hard!

To the haters: I get why you don't like Skrillex, but for this kind of show, it's really about the environment you're in. Listening on your own may leave you underwhelmed, but with the right crowd, there's not much better you can throw on.

I saw Skrillex this past September in new orleans and it was a good show. we had a blast and honestly I thought the crowd was pretty nice, and I'm very sensitive to crappy crowds. Lots of younger kids partying but I had plenty of friendly conversations. Didn't hurt the show was at the Sugar Mill which has plenty of room so people aren't all up in your space.

I will also be seeing Skrillex again at Buku, then probably again at Hangout. So as much as I like Skrillex (and I really do, I have listened him almost daily for the past several months) if he is up against UM or something like that I'll be OK skipping him. I hope its OK for me to say that in this thread? no hate intended.

Faceless internet writers hated on him from the get go. Calling him a sell out. This was prior to him ever releasing an album in some cases. Others where soon after 1, only 1, album was released. Most of them come from the purist EDM crowd. I see what they are saying. He is different and that is it. People do not like change. I love Pink Floyd but my how rock has changed and the world has not fallen apart. It has gotten better and grown. The is was electro is doing now, branching and growing.

I listened to some of his stuff bc a friend wanted me to go to his show here in Knox. I liked it but nothing special. What drew me to it was Rock and Roll and With You (check those out). After going to the show I was blown away. Top 5 shows I have been to and I have been to Roo 3x's.

Until you have a frame of reference I suggest you lay off Phi. Phi, lay of them in the I hate Skrill thread.
