^ Nut job? Hell no, this is better than any Arcade game! What else ya got? Can you do more? (Bryan, Dave/Chris, Jack, Dylan, Ben, Mike, Jesse, Alex, etc!) It makes PERFECT SENSE to me...so maybe you're not the only nut job 'round here!

Jesse=also syrup, like Sarah. So that one doesn't make sense to even me Mike=the smell of an old car the name Chris alone = steak (must be the gristle thing) Benjamin=Lima beans but Ben alone = barbed wire fence

Is this the place where I talk about my toe claustrophobia?
I also use to freak about the idea of someone rubbing chalk across my toenails. Like when I was a kid going down road in the backseat of the minivan. I would imagine a hand coming out from under the seat and running chalk across them. So scary!

When I talk on the phone I will walk around and do so unless I am with a group of people. If I am home alone I will literally do laps around the outside of my house while talking on the phone. I'm also a big proponent of being early everywhere I go and have been for as long as I can remember.
If you are sleeping in the same bed as I, please do not sleep with your face near mine. You are stealing my breath! And I will let you know it.
^^^This. I can NOT have my face covered up, or my nose/mouth not exposed to "fresh" air. i.e. if you wanna get your snuggle on, do not expect me to go to sleep with my face in the crook of your neck. And furthermore, if your exhaled air is all that's making it to my general breathing area, I will kick you out of the bed.
I also can't even put the car in gear with out my seat belt on.
I have to rub my feet together approximately 15-20 times before I even bother to try to sleep. And it's always right foot over left. ALWAYS.
Fan must be on and blowing directly in my face to sleep. (goes back to the air thing i guess.)
I do have a "spot" on the couch... a la Sheldon Cooper. If I let you sit there, Im having a really, really good day.
If im hot, I can sleep without any covers, but I still have to be touching the top sheet. So I'll just take the corner and put it on my hip, and boom. Im good. But if that sheet moves, Im instantly awake and freezing.
This thread is pure gold, full of posts by a bunch of total quackin' nut jobs, Yours Truly included.
Since this thread started, I've spent LOTS O' TIME w/almost all of you. I've slept with (er, beside!near! [insert preposition of choice here]) many of you (@ MikeD's or in hotels or camping...whatever!), so I have first-hand knowledge of whose posts were honest.
Yep, now most of us know who snores, who rubs their feet, who kicks off all the covers & who refuses to share a pillow, who always has lip gloss, and who is never, ever, ever on time for anything. We know who's afraid of spiders and biscuit cans, who obsessively counts & cleans, and all other manner of freakishly amusing pet peeves.
Dave's right: anyone inclined to keep a dossier (à la J. Edgar Hoover) on us could make our lives miserable!
So what about our newer members? C'mon, y'all: dish some incriminating dirt that we'll all learn about you eventually!
Ack. MY list is so long. I think I missed this thread. It was back when I wasnt around.
1 - I hate to touch people, even friends. I've been trying to get comfortable with hugs, but handshakes are too much. I can handle one, but I dont like shaking hands when meeting and departing with new people. 2 - I gag when I imagine marker tips on cheap paper like news paper. It hurts me. 3 - I like to sleep with my right hand touching the wall. 4 - If I'm not at my house I prefer to sleep with my headphones in. 5 - I dont understand why I should ask people about their families if I dont know their families. Basically, all small talk is a waste of time. 6 - It makes me uncomfortable when strangers acknowledge my existence. 7 - I try to memorize things about people as they speak because people like it when I remember things. But it means I remember way more about people than they remember ever telling me. 8 - I eat mustard on almost everything, like gobs of it. 9 - I think collar bones are crazy sexy. 10 - I've only voluntarily let about 3 people touch my back, ever.
Is that a good start? I'm sure I'll remember the rest.
if I go to a music festival and see a band, I HAVE to see the whole set. I can't just go stay for 10-15 minutes and walk away, even if the set is really only 30 minutes. I just feel like I'd miss out on the whole experience if I didn't stay for it all. My cousin and I are horrible festival partners, since he does the exact opposite of me, and tries to go to everything to get a taste of every act. I can think of more, but I wanted to contribute now

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.

I can relate on all these at some point. Most aren't as much of an issue anymore, but they were at one time.
this is a great thread.thanks holls for bringing it back. i always have to be early where ever i am going. i hate to be late. i also have to weigh myself almost every morning. and this just started in the last year or 2??? i dont know i never , ever cared what i weighed before. weird
This thread rocks. It makes us realize we're all kinda weird together in mostly harmless ways.
Adding to my list of "things":
*The TV remote must be put back on top of the entertainment center before I go to bed. It can't be anywhere else. Don't even have a logical explanation...it's just gotta be there. And the dishes in the dishwasher have to be arranged a certain way, too.
*The toilet paper must hang OVER the roll, never under. ;D
*My toenails must always be painted. No naked toes ever.
*I can find a typo on a restaurant menu in seconds. Even if it's the tastiest thing on the menu, I won't order it on principle. If they can't spell it correctly, how can I be sure they'll cook it correctly? Yeah, über petty. I know!
*I quacking LOATHE voicemail. Seeing the little red light on my work phone makes me go "Grrr" and grimace. And if you leave me a VM on my cell, I'll probably just delete it without listening. Srsly, in the time it takes me to listen, I could already be talking to you. Such a waste of time, unless you're leaving a really sweet message that I'll want to listen to over & over...not that that ever happens, but if it does, text me first so I'll know not to delete it, k?
Well I have a lot of "things" and not sure how many I want to share on a searchable board but here goes:
1/Money has to all face the same way in my wallet and has to go from smallest bill to largest bill. I literally can't put the wallet in my pocket if the money isn't right.
2/I have to get ready for work in the morning the same way every day or I will forget something. If I brush teeth before I shower than I will forget to shave. If I shower before I put my contacts in I will forget to get my hair right.
3/I hate naps. I feel like I'm missing something somewhere. I know I'm not really and I probably should when I can, but there's always a chore to do, a game to play with my kids, a book to read, a new record to listen to and I feel like naps rob me of precious time to do those.
