E: This is everything I needed it to be and more. Pretty much in love.
I love this, too. It might be equally as good as PLMS. I remember seeing her at the farm about 5 or so years ago in a small tent and she was so great live. I haven't had a chance to see her since then.
One of the songs in this album was played during that amazing Huerco S. b2b Anthony Naples set yesterday. Couldn't resist listening to the whole album.

I was thrown a little when I saw her name on the line up, that year. I was a fan of Gowns (which may have fit that vibe a little better) but this made no sense to me, at all. Through the heat and near empty Other tent, she nailed it. She had gotten insanely more comfortable with her stage presence though.
E: considered this #nowplaying throughout the day.

Thanks for posting this, this is great on first listen.
From nonesuch: The Queen of Hearts is the debut album from Offa Rex , a new project featuring English singer/multi-instrumentalist Olivia Chaney and The Decemberists. Produced and recorded by Tucker Martine (Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Neko Case) and Colin Meloy at Martine's studio in Portland, OR, the album draws largely on traditional English-Irish-Scottish repertoire to create a transatlantic musical conversation that flirts with psychedelia and folk rock while maintaining its own inimitable identity.
