I haven't really been into metal since Freshman year high school, so over 10 years ago. While I've enjoyed a handful of metal bands since turning into a depressing indie music snob (Mastodon, Baroness, Deafheaven being among the hipster approved metal bands I'm into), I've been bitten by a bug that was 15 minutes of Meshuggah at Bonnaroo before I had zero energy left for the night. I've been wanting to get back into it since. One of the last things I remember really getting into was melodic death metal like In Flames. So I went on a little internet searching and found out Carcass was one of the pioneers of the genre. Holy fuck is this a great album.
First listen. I thank the folk on this thread for this inadvertent recommendation. I was convinced by a couple tracks I heard with Nina Kinert earlier today. Cheers.

I need more, metalheads. Recommendations welcome.
Someone asked for metal recommendations and didn't flood the board with his response? What is going on with the world?

Woods of Desolation, btw. Try them first.
My bad. I'm still getting back into the swing of things after a long vacation. I'll put up a few.
