Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Between the last two weekends I realized that I am completely over St Pattys Day.
I love St. Pats. Not for the green beer, or the dumb hats or striped socks or whatever, but because it gets my friends who dont go out on weekends to come OUT like normal people do all year long.
And bc it's a holiday where Catholics freely admit to boozing unnecessarily.

on an unrelated note: I'm not a huge go out to bars person. But i went to this place in philly called the Piazza in northen liberties. That place was the Tits. It blew my mind how cool it was. Just everyone lounging outside watching a big ass screen with college basketball on it. I hate Philly with a passion (raised to love New York) but this place gave me a little bit of hope for the city. I feel like every city/town should have a place like that. Anyone ever hear/been there??

As a catholic, it is always ok to booze heavily as long as you feel guilty about it afterwords.
Also, St. Pats is great if you are actually Irish or celebrate it with real irish people. To me, it is a lot like New Years (which I hate) in that it is amateur hour. People who never party come out of the woodwork and if you are near them, they will ruin your day.
Also, Green beer is disgusting. Switch to Guiness or Harp. And take a shot of whiskey with each beer. The whiskey is for digestion.

A) I can see how you guys mistook me for insinuating that i drink green beer. If you know me in RL, i would never do such a thing. Ever. And I DO drink only Irish (i actually prefer Smithwick's in that family o' brews, or Magners) on St. PATTYS DAY, HOLLS.
Oh, and props for not calling it St. "Patty's" Day. (My pet peeve!) It's either St. Pat's or St. Paddy's since it's from the Irish name Pádraig.
::: steps off Irish soapbox :::
B) St. Patrick's, St. Pats, St. Paddy's, St. Pattys: Im Amurrican. And Patrick, shortened, can be Pat, or Patty (you know for the light-hearted dude?). As "Patrick" is 'allowed' and we don't go around saying "St. Pádraig" on all the signs, and banners, and leprechaun-laden crap, I will continue to spell it "Patty's".

Im gonna be forced to see The Fray this summer. yay. Going to see a band about a girl. Oh well. I will just drink insane amounts of gin to impress her. At least the seats were comp'd
I don't know what it is. But today just seems like a real bummer day, where i'm at. It's completely silent in the office besides the AC unit. And it just seems really sluggish. Can't really explain it, but even the boards seem a little slow today. Maybe it's just because i'm upset that school starts back this week, but i'm not too happy with how this is going. Freaking Monday's
I am very concerned. I just played golf in the middle of March in Chicago and it was 80 degrees out. There has to be retribution coming for this weather, but the forecast continues to call for sun and 70s. 2012 is a weird, but good year already.

My only question is... How'd you shoot?
Ok for the first round of the year. Ended on a birdie, so that was good, but overall, an 86. Could not hit an iron to save my life, which is weird since that is normally the best part of my game. No 3 putts, which was good.
That's pretty good, for first time i'm. I still haven't really swung and hit a golf ball in forever, because of my elbow. I am nervous if i hit a ball fat it'll stop the club and kind of snap my elbow forward badly. i've been swinging a club just to get the motion back, but haven't swung at anything. Was gonna wait till it gets warmer, but i guess it is warmer now right? I've been dying to get on a course though
Gah, I 3-putted 4 holes on Sunday. My drives were mid range but straight, I was lovin' my long and short irons, but MAN do I need to work on my putting. Finished the course with an 89.
If you are swinging, you should get out there and hit. Just be smart. If you are lying in a divot, take it out, by a rock, move the ball, etc etc. Plus if it starts to hurt, stop.

I just got lucky. I was not going for 1 putts too often, just getting it close. PLus my chipping was really on today.
So I'm looking at all of these pictures on Facebook from various people's St. Patrick's Day adventures. I'm kinda miffed, not gonna lie. I haven't seen one pint of Guinness, Smithwick's, Harp, Conway's Irish Ale, Killian Irish Red in ANY of the pictures.. Nope. All I see are aluminum Miller Lite bottles with green shamrocks on them. MILLER F*CKING LITE on St. Patrick's Day!! Bunch of amateurs.

It seems that you are friends with frat guys (which I formerly was one, so I understand your problem). I suggest you make more irish bonnaroo friends. No green beer in that group!
Yeah, I'll admit, some of my friends have really bad and generic tastes when it comes to beer. Fortunately, I did not suffer from the same this past Saturday.
