for some reason inforoo keeps switching between the current beige/black motif and the old purple and green one. no idea why, and it just started. kind of interesting to get a little flashback.
Same for me, but I don't mind because it makes things interesting.

GASPPPPPP!!! I LOVED those books in elementary school! I can't tell you how many book report and projects that I did based off of those (paper mache Martin, giant maps, book covers...) I completely forgotten about them (I feel ashamed)...
Dude, YES. Redwall was amazing. I read so many of those books. I really want to go back and read them again. I hope my parents saved them somewhere.
The stoat post actually made me go look up info on the series for the first time in probably 15 years. It turns out there are TWENTY TWO of those books and the last one was released in 2011.
I was just debating about whether I should reread or not as well... a few years ago I picked up a Nancy Drew and then put it back down after 2 pages. I felt dumber for having loved the series so much. I am now terrified to read any other chapter book of my youth and ruin it's memory.
And wow to the 22 books!!! When I was reading them ('93 or so), there was only a handful- off of the top of my head, I remember Redwall, Salamandastron, Mossflower and Mariel of Redwall). I think Mossflower was my favorite? Maybe I just read it first.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

This is hurting my eyes and also causing nostalgia feelings.

What address are you guys using for the site? I haven't seen the old colors since the switch.

Definitely use inforoo.com. Get rid of "Bonnaroo.proboards.com"
Inforoo.com works for me but not sure why others don't see it working. Not sure about the colors switching back and forth. I'd need to be able to re-create the problem to try and figure more out

From the wiki page:
From the beginning, Brian Jacques was praised for his Redwall series, being described as one of “the best children's authors in the world.”[3] The books of the Redwall series have drawn comparisons to everything from J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings[4] to Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows to Erin Hunter's Warriors and Richard Adams’s Watership Down.[5] Jacques combines “action, poetry, songs, courage, and vivid descriptions” to create a unique style that spans the seemingly endless series.
So fear not! It sounds like they were actually pretty good.
And this is cool too:
The Redwall series has also received praise for its “equal-opportunity adventuring, in which female creatures can be just as courageous (or as diabolical) as their male counterparts.” Novels such as Mariel of Redwall, The Pearls of Lutra, High Rhulain and Triss all feature strong female leading characters.
Seeing that praise I think I'm definitely going to re-read one. I'm sure I can tear through it in a couple days.
I couldn't possible tell you which one was my favorite though. I remember repeating the words Mattimeo and Salamandastron a million times in my head. And Outcast of Redwall seems really familiar so I guess those might have been my favorite? I dunno.

Very strange, I'm getting the old colors too. If I logout, the colors go back to beige. But once I log back in, the colors hurt.
As of noon today I am officially homeless. Had to be out of my townhouse today and was informed that I can not close on my house until Wednesday now. Everything I own is locked in the back of a giant UHAUL. Sigh.
