I'm always looking for new flavors and I generally enjoy cucumbers. The cucumber taste is just so overwhelming. If I just down it real quick, it's not so bad. Then I'm snapped back into reality and the aftertaste hits me hard.

On another note, I bought a 12 oz. bottle of Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin and it wasn't bad. I wouldn't want more than one, but it is definitely more palatable than the Ghost Face Killah with ghost peppers from Twisted Pine I tried once.
My friend and I both bought tickets to see Phoenix in Orlando this Saturday. Not driving or staying with each other, just planned on meeting up (although that seemed unlikely as he wanted to get front row). Buuuut, I've been on the fence about going since I'm not impressed with the new songs, my GF isn't a huge fan and we're going to Epcot during the day and kinda want to check out their night show (which conflicts a bit with the Phoenix show).
I told my friend I was considering selling my tickets, and he looked like he was about to burst out in tears. I told him he could still go, but I guess he doesn't like going to shows by himself. He seemed very upset about it, but gave me the usual, "Don't worry about it" shtick. Should I feel bad?
That's a tough one. The problem here is it sounds like you committed to going to the show with your friend, so you are backing out on a commitment. I try (but don't always succeed) to live by the code "be where you say you are going to be when you say you are going to be there". If I was in your shoes I'd be bummed because I'd rather do Epcot all day, but I'd probably go to the show with the friend.
Took your advice to go heart and going to the show!

I went out to Connecticut yesterday to visiting my parents for mother's day.
A lot of people think of Connecticut as this Stepford-ian place with never ending suburbs flush with NYC money. This is not that Connecticut. My mother is telling me this story about what happened a few days ago, and... well, I'm gonna spoiler it because it might be disturbing for some.
Some guy in a pickup truck pulls on the side of the road, right in front of my parents house. He runs down the road, grabs some turkey, then starts hacking it to death in my parents' driveway. He ends up throwing the carcass in the back and drives away.
My mom does not know if the turkey was hit by a car before hand, or just spotted from the road and he stopped for it.

Fuck y'all. Most functioning organ systems still work when you hit your 30's. The adventures lie ahead in endocrine, reproductive, digestive, circulatory and other similar systems. Then people start dropping around you, and you realize mortality is a real thing and not just for freak accidents or your grandparents' generation anymore.
Speaking of random, if Skyplex is built in Orlando in 2019 as anticipated (at a cost of about $500,000,000), Skyscraper will be the greatest ride in the history of rides. Back in November the founder also noted that there would be a VR option on this. Sea World brings out a VR Option ride this year, and I think more parks will be going that route to enhance experiences.
The Skyplex is scheduled to have a 450 foot free fall (presumably you just drop into a net 35 stories below you) and another thing where you can walk along the edge of the top of the building tethered only to a harness. I think I'll watch other people do that because I'm not a fan of ledges. Here's a rendering of the ride which looks to take probably 5+ minutes. It has more track elements than any coaster I've ever seen before.
Everybody says Monday is the worst/longest day of the week. I argue it's Tuesday.
Wednesday used to be the worst day for me, due to the fact that deadlines used to be Friday. So I would get a shit-ton of work on my plate on Wednesday. Not so much anymore. Everyday but Friday-Sunday sucks now.

That's fair for probably all of us working Monday-Friday. I don't know, I am usually refreshed on Monday and the day goes by fast for me cause I am catching up on things from the weekend. I am always though exhausted come Tuesday and it just seems to drag more than any other work day.
