I pulled a muscle in my lower back and it's really testing my pain tolerance. I constantly feel like I'm going to vomit from the pain
Ouch, back pain sucks. Judging from the inclination to vomit I'm not sure you're mobile enough to do this, but this stretch is really, really good at mobilizing those lower back muscles that feel like they're deep in you're spine and unable to be stretched. Several months ago I went to the doc hunched over and thinking I had a herniated disc. He stretched me out and I walked out of the office upright and nearly pain-free.
I can barely move right now, but I'll be sure to give that a try later

I echo everything in this post. Working in a ware house for a few years taught me quite a bit about dealing with back pain.
I used to do that stretch and this one every morning/night:
Make sure you turn that chin. Makes all the difference.

You might try icing it too. On the other hand, you probably can't go wrong simply ignoring medical advice from people who lack the skills, knowledge, and ability to diagnose the problem.

I just threw out my back a couple weeks ago. Ice, ice, ice. It's the only thing that helped, other than going to a doctor, which i did, and he told me to ice.

Driving this morning to pick up my farm tickets, two hours each way. I couldn't sleep last night! I get my wristband today :-):-):-)
the pictures make it look so sparkley but you know it never does justice. Should I shave for my tickets? Do I, do I bring the tickets a gift? I'm still so new to all this!
I just walked into the bathroom at work and someone was taking a shit with the door wide open.
The worse part is that the bathroom is as soon as you walk in the door to enter or exit the building. Oh and it's an incredibly busy grocery store. Let's see how much more exciting this Monday can get.
I wanna go three! token07 you now have three ladies to be your date! Let's do this!
PS. I had no idea you were coming to town! Keep me in the loop; I want to see you when you're here.
I reached out to token07 and I would love to go, too. Hanging out with y'all at a 90s throwback show is too good to pass up. If this is happening, keep me in the loop about getting tickets or I can order them

It really bothers me when people go on and on about how much they love music, only to reveal they've been listening to the same 25 bands their entire life.

Some people go for depth instead of breadth.
Yeah, I personally like to spend more time getting to know bands and their albums instead of frantically trying to keep up with the hot new band/flavor of the month. I'll listen to stuff when I get around to it and just keep an eye out for who is touring in my area.

Then couldn't it be said that you like those bands, and not music itself?
I'm assuming nobody in here is the type of person I'm talking about. I mean when you meet people that tell you how much they love music, but they only listen to classic rock. Then when you play any other form of music, they don't like it all. I just don't understand saying you like music when you only actually like .01% of it.
It's like only eating carrots and saying I love vegetables.
Yeah, I have to say that doesn't bother me at all. If you love music- that's awesome and that's that. Maybe you like what I like. Maybe your idea of a good time is Clutch on repeat. Doesn't matter. Music is awesome and I love when someone loves music.
And actively listening to 25 bands is actually a lot of time. Listening to just one average length album once for each of those 25 puts the person at about 3 hours of music/day. I'll be honest, I can't listen to music at work (THAT WILL CHANGE NEXT WEEK IN MY NEW POSITION!! YIIIPPPPEEEEE!!), I have a ten minute commute, I have a second job where I can't control the music, regularly am out and about doing happy hour, going to dinner, going to the movies... and when I am home, I often watch Hulu. I definitely do not get to average 3 hours/day.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

But to me, in the scenario you laid out above, that particular person loves Clutch, and certain things that make clutch unique, not music itself.
I don't know, in the past month, I've easily listened to over 25 bands. I understand that some of us have more time that others to listen to music, so those aren't the people I'm talking about. It's the people that only "like" 25 bands, and dislike everything else they hear. I can't tell you how many I've heard say "I love music, but hate this genre, this genre, this entire decade, etc.", and I just want to tell those people that they may not like music nearly as much as they think they do.
A girl I went to high school with is a pop country FANATIC. For years she has gone to a few shows a month, sometimes driving 3+ hours to shows on Long Island on a weeknight to see favorites. Most of these shows she goes to alone- even the ones further away. She'll show up hours ahead of time to ensure her great spot at GA shows. Her FB and Instagram are filled with pictures from meet and greets with artists and pictures of her Sirius when she loves the song came on. Last year? She moved to Nashville. She was hand picked by Taylor Swift to go to a private 1989 show at Tay's parent's house (from a list compiled of super fans on social media) earlier this year.
I am not backing her style of music... but are you saying she's not a music fan because it's all pop country- and often the same names over and over and over at that? I think she likes music.

Not quite. The element I think your missing is how she would respond to hearing something that isn't pop country. If she listens to other stuff from time to time and can appreciate it, she probably likes music. If she dislikes almost everything else, she probably just likes country. To go back to my vegetable analogy, the issue isn't that she likes carrots, it's that she dislikes every other type of vegetable, yet tells people how much she likes vegetables. And it doesn't bother me in the sense of "your listening to music wrong grrr!". It just makes zero sense to me on a logical level.
I agree that you don't have to have a diverse tastes to say you love music. Someone who listens to nothing but jam bands wouldn't say they don't like music, they do. They just prefer jam bands. Maybe they prefer nothing but Phish, with a little WSP, The Werks or Dead sprinkled in. But mostly Phish. They still like music. I refuse to listen to metal if I can avoid it, doesn't mean I don't like music.
Honestly, just be happy that the're passionate about their carrots. There are some people out there, this guy I work with, who don't like music. Seriously. When I asked him once what kind of music he liked to listen to he said he doesn't. Music is background noise to him and he rarely ever pays attention to what is on and he doesn't play music. When he drives, he listens to talk radio. THAT is something that is concerning/ worth being perturbed by.

I usually listen to talk radio on my way home from work (local NPR affiliate). I like to know what the traffic is looking like and get a little glimpse into the day's news. BE PERTURBED.
