This newsletter isn't writing itself, and I am starting to get worried about my deadline. Maybe I should get off the boards? Or not. 50% done isn't bad, right?

Sub school for work & change that 50 to a 0 and you sound like me.

Everyone is better off than me.

Hooray, I started my project. Now I have six hours to drag this out, feel completely screwed, and half-ass half of this after 10 pm.
Nice. We are all screwed then. My boss pulled me off the newsletter to do other stuff. I have three more things left to do on it and get it proofed... so not going out today. Oh well. Good luck on that project!
So my project is a Powerpoint on the 2005 Supreme Court case Kelo v. City of New London. For those of you who don't know, it involves a Connecticut city seizing a neighborhood via eminent domain in order to redevelop it. The plan was to bring Pfizer Corp.'s research facilities there, as well as build a hotel, condos overlooking the water, and some other stuff. The city won, razed the neighborhood, but then after tens (if not hundreds) of millions spent on the project - Pfizer never actually moved to New London, and the land sits vacant.
I had gone to the neighborhood (on an unrelated matter in 2012) and taken a bunch of pictures, but now can't find them. Grrrrr.

That makes your scenario even worse (the lost photos that is). Fingers cross you pull a rabbit out your hat and find your stuff.
In all seriousness, I was actually just talking about Reddit... and the porn that is on Reddit.
Growing up as a young man pre-smartphone: desperately trying to come up with damn near Rube Goldbergian ways to see naked ladies.
Growing up as a young man with smartphones: reddit.com
You lazy young f°ckers.
Don't worry, I watched plenty of scrambled pay-per-view porn channels in my younger days. And I'll be able to explain to my future teenagers the horror that was dial-up internet.

It's almost too easy these days.

Give it a few decades, and dial-up porn is totally going to be our generation's 'I used to walk 15 miles to school through Arctic tundra 12 months a year, uphill both ways' horror story. Scrambled cable porn, lingerie catalogues, dirty mags swiped from the newsagent after school... you little whippersnappers don't know how good you have it!

This morning, I saw a student biking across campus wearing shorts and flip-flops in 25-degree weather. The decisions people make never cease to amaze me.
I seen mini-skirts and flip-flops the other day... in New Hampshire... in the low 20s.
Nobody was surprised they were violently shaking from chills.
I've seen people here bundled up in hoodies and scarves in the low 20s... Celsius.
I was sunbaking a few hours ago; I'm currently posting this right after one of the most violent thunderstorms I've seen. Just in case you thought New England weather was haywire. It's more of the same for the next week or so. One thing about the South Pacific: when it rains, it pours.
